Help with a Subaru issue
I know there are quite a few Subaru fans on here and I'm not a member of any Subaru forums so I was hoping someone here might be able to give me some ideas to this issue I'm having.
I did a factory short block swap on an 06 legacy gt (ej255 motor). It's all back together and it won't crank at all. I can hear the fuel pump priming but that's it. I pulled three codes and they are for the cam sensors and crank sensor.
I'm thinking it's a grounding issue but I'm not sure. The car did start before the block swap. I did check all the plugs for the sensors and they're still plugged in. Any Subaru gurus (18psi) have any suggestions?
Thanks for any help guys
-Patrick

I will do that. It appears to be hooked up correctly though.
Could the battery be so dead that it doesn't have enough amps to get the starter to turn? I've had the battery on a charger for the past few days and even hooked my car up to it to no avail. I only mention it because when I tried to start it when I first got the car it took like an hour of having it hooked up to my forester before it fired up

Actually it was missing a ground to the block. On the pass side does it go from the exhaust ,heat shield to the frame? That's how input it on because I couldn't find a free hole on the block.
Turns out I'm an idiot. Missed a ground connector on the starter, fired right up.
Thank you all so much. I still got cels though, I'll check and report back

I had a buddy with a WRX that threw 12+ cel's when he took it to get tuned. he took it to a tuner and the guy laughed him out of the shop and basically told him to fix your ghetto **** before wasting my time.
Another buddy had the o2 CEL issue constantly on his 06 wrx, after a new 02 he still had to end up getting a "plug fouler" to get rid of that one. Car did have a full turboback exhaust though, and some accesstuner with its "tuned" pos map.
I love the fact that my miata will never throw a CEL again. It might end up running like ****, but no CEL!

Haha that's funny. I cleared the am and crank codes. Now I get stupid emissions thing that either needs cleaned or just driven (cars been sitting awhile) and an o2 code. Cleared it again and the o2 hasn't come back yet.
There is no clutch though. Don't have time to bleed it now but I will tonight. I hope that takes care of it.
Edit: now I have a spare block (it only spun a bearing) I think I need to get myself a Subaru to have some fun with
