I just read that this morning and was waiting for someone to just start freaking out as i read down the thread. Not sure it will get anymore heated, but someone might have to bleed for it to end.

We'll see. I don't expect any drama from BEGi or FM--they both represented by class and dignity. There are a few tactfully sharp words in there.

It's the FM check book racers who will make it fun. I'd expect them to start chiming in...

why does it always have to come down to "mine is better" and "he said they said we said"?

its getting really old to hear people whine and bitch over there about every vendor all the time. No wonder nobody wants to ever sell anything in the miata market, they get trampled on and get into little bickering matches all the time.

I'm really tempted to go with the FM kit since I can't really weld. However, I don't really care for an FMIC with their name on it. I'll spraypaint it black anyway.

You can get the FMIC with or without the FM logo.

You could always talk to Corky about a custom job. I'm sure he would hook you up, and you can get it installed (just a short drive to San Antonio).

fwiw, It's only painted on one side and is reversable.

I'll install and tune it... I don't want it to look like helen keller welded the thing up.

I should probably just be a man, go to the pawn shop and score a chop saw and a mig.

I'm torn between a super easy instal, and doing it myself for half the price. I should probably do the latter, considering that I'm poor.

A pawnshop mig will cost double what my Harbor Freight chopsaw and mig cost - $40 for the saw and $175 for the 220V mig (this is after a handfull of coupons and internet pricematching).

LOVE my harbor freight chopsaw!! pack of a billion disks to go with: like $5.

Corky (when he gets over his pneumonia) and Steph are working on my custom intercooler right now. I'm so excited! Best xmas present to self ever!

It's coming pre-bunged for air temp, water injection, and bov at the throttle body inlet pipe.

I will probably paint the visible front part with some radiator paint to keep it stealth-a-licious.

I don't pay advertised price for anything. I bought a 1991 miata with hard-top in perfect working order for $1600...I don't plan on variating from that concept on any purchase.

Both kits look promising and each have their strong points. I still don't know about FM's silicone IC pipes.

hustler you make a **** load more money than i or Andy do. If you are gonna go DIY do it for the fun otherwise justr get corky to make you something soo you can install it there is no shame in buying stuff that fits together for a good price.
