I'm sure they do. We need a W58, too, right? Then adapter kit?

Start a thread for this thing. I want to drool over pictures.

You laugh, but I swear it would be significantly better than the current 3.0.

This actually has me thinking now... 4X4 sportage has a Tcase with the driveshaft on the passenger side. Turbo FE3 with megasquirt in a 4X4 Toyota Pickup?

If we go the 1uz route, I think that would be the easiest option, although I don't think the W58 is that strong.

I will definitely start a thread when we figure out what we're actually going to do with this thing.

W58 is strong enough behind a stock 1uz in a truck doing truck things. 4x4 might be an issue, though.

FE3 is way easier in a B2600i 4x4. Which really doesn't give up anything to your Toyota.

I dd a b2600i 4x4....
Why not just turbo the G6 engine ? Its like an F2t on weight gainer.
TurboII rx7 drivetrain and you don't have to pay the taco tax to buy one either.

The internets say it's not as strong, and we believe everything we read on the internets.

Also: i really really really want one of those trucks. Would consider ditching The Cherokee of Rarity for one.

The G6 motor in the B2600i isn't "supposed" to be as robust as an F2/FE3.

That said, i'd be highly surprised if it **** the bed before 400wtq.

Hahaha the internets... Well I've taken one apart and the bottom end is laughably oversized. Ginormous journals; there are steel reinforcements casted into the pistons.

The issue would be getting the head to flow enough to make more than 250whp. Granted that 250whp would happen at like 3.5krpm.
Edit: I should mention that this thing was certainly faster than my Miata prior to the vvt swap....

This engine wants to be your friend:

I can work with the head. It's not THAT bad compared to the F2, and i've been well over that for years. Round ports are easy to port.

Head gaskets are what the internet doesn't like. We'd have to track down some ARPs, but i'm guessing some other like-minded moron has already figured that out.

ARP doesn't make an F2 kit, but i have ARP head studs in my motor. (Torqued to 90ftlbs, come at me MT.net.)

Vacuum advance distributor can DIAF, though. Wonder if a gutted F2T distributor would work in that location to make a cheapass 24-1 wheel.

Mine is the first (1989) year. After that the ecu handled advance. That's right, mine is special.

No B2600s for sale in Indy. :(

THIS freshness is pretty ******* rad, though.

Dude **** that, I still have Dave's old B2200, a spare 3.73 rear axle and 1 M box and 1 R box. Also the Ebay Holset turbo I was gonna use on it. Make me an offer.

This would be the second FE3 turbo engine in it though. Maybe you should put a G6 in it.

Not at all, just fallen out of love with the idea that it will ever get done. I think 2WD on it would be so ridiculous as to not even bother, which means I'd have to figure out all of the 4WD stuff right away.

If you have room to work on it I'd start tomorrow.

3.0 makes 145HP(crank)/ 180lb/ft stock. 250WHP would be a complete transformation and it would shed a ton of weight to boot.
