Default How about THIS for a turbo exhaust?!

I've attached a pic of the "Blowfish" Bonneville race car built by Rad Rides by Troy. Holy huge DP.

~350ci Dodge R5 built buy Jesel's engine builder. It was our '07 engine that we used to go around 250 in a full sized (stock body) Dodge Ram. IIRC we used 2 GT4294's at around 1500hp to go that speed, never hit full boost. Traction is the biggest issue on the salt, at 250mph, the rear tires were going over 270. Engine made ~1500hp (crank) at ~8500rpm on a very conservative tune, hp and torque were still quickly climbing. This year we're taking the same basic setup but with a 300ci engine, which puts us in a different class. Should go the same speed as the smaller engine should produce the same power...just up the boost if needed I would guess.

Anyways I hear this Blowfish guy is aiming for 325mph, shouldn't be a problem

his website is http://www.radrides.com/

PS: Warren Johnson is in the room next to me. Strange cause qualifying for the Super Nationals starts in like 3 hours. My job kicks ***.

:O

Traction issues at 250mph sounds very scary. What kind of aero work did the Ram require to not take off at those speeds?

It's lowered, has those shiny smooth wheel covers, and the OEM SRT-10 pickup truck front and rear bumper and rear spoiler which helped somewhat from the original nose used in '06, but because it's an OEM piece available on a version of that truck it's a legal mod. And a tonneau (sp?) cover. I think that's it. I know there's no under body work or anything like that.

I know they don't want to take the truck any faster cause they are worried about the windshield blowing in. So they want to keep it around the same speed with smaller engines. There was talk of even putting a 4cyl. in it.

EDIT: added pic

Most of the work I do here is one-off's for prostock guys. He tends to make his own stuff though (or he doesn't have many problems) so I haven't worked directly with him.

That car used to have a 4 cyl in it and was run with some special Mopar 4 the first time.
Very clean setup. Seen it at SEMA and PRI many times.
