The LS9 won't be getting its final certification until about March, but so far GM has put over 6,800 dyno hours on the new engine. They have run an engine for 100 hours continuously at wide open throttle and done both simulated and real 24-hour track cycles similar to what the GT1 C6.Rs run on the dyno and in the car. Thanks to the extensive simulation and modeling done prior to building any parts, the engines have been remarkably reliable. To date, through three years of development, they have never had a failed piston, connecting rod or crankshaft in testing.

Why Saturn? Isnt Saturn usualy profitable? Who ever owned it previous should buy it back.
I have no pitty for GM, they have been making shitty cars for years with cheap parts that are over priced and paying their ******* lazy ******* way too much, the unions fucked them and they deserve to go down in flame IMO.

Saturn dealers are looking for a manufacturer to make cars for them! Someone that isn't represented in the US currently. This could end up being a very good thing if it works. What I don't understand is why the don't bring in the best of the Vauxhall and Opel lines that GM also owns.
Saturn lost it when in typical US fashion they lost sight of what made them succesful early on. Early on they had basically one platform and everything was built in a dedicated plant. The cars were reliable and unique. Now it's 5 platforms, built all over the place and reliability is no better than any other US make. GM got too involved with runing Saturn and they made it just like any other GM division. Idiots. I'm so glad we are giving them taxpayer money to throw away at more bad planning.
Just a few years ago I was making a 50 mile, each way, commute in a 94 saturn wagon. No options but AC. Low, light and got 35-40mpg. With no power you could play speed racer rowing through the gears and no one would notice or care. Great car. Absolutely dead reliable putting 35K a year on it for 2 years. I wish I had kept it. I'd have gutted it and put in a full cage for track duty! The old coupes do pretty well still in SCCA. The wagon was only 100lbs heavier!
