Default New car time! (Boring daily driver content)

Hi everyone,

I have been looking into leasing a car from my work, and a while ago I took the plunge and signed up. £96 a month covers it and allows me to use it for 9,000 personal and 3,500 business miles each year. I ordered it 14 weeks (!) ago, and it finally arrived.

So far I'm really impressed with it. Sure, it couldn't pull the skin off custard, but it's comfortable, quiet, handles pretty well and has a good stereo. I've not been able to get anywhere near Ford's economy figures but I've still averaged 59.5 mpg over 300 miles so far, which is a vast improvement on my other car.

I've been really enjoying having a normal car where I can enjoy some music, have a conversation with my passenger and just chill out.

Here's a picture, and a chance to show off my new ride, lol.

Is that the Fiesta or Ka? 59mpg is amazing, you probably have a smaller engine available over there?

Out of curiosity, is there an up-front charge with that lease?

In the US, leasing a base-model Fiesta would entail roughly a $2,000 payment up-front, and then $150 per month thereafter. £96 is extremely cheap. (Though I assume that this offer is in some way subsidized by your employer?)

He's in scotland. they use imperial gallons, which are exactly 20% more by volume than US gallons.

so his 59mpg is like our 49mpg. still quit impressive O_O.

Finally, it's a diesel, either 1.4 or 1.6
