New toy, Bought a Boat!
A buddy and I went in halves on this little gal.
Specs:
1994 20' Genesis Bowrider
4.3L 210hp Mercruiser w/Alpha1
250hrs on motor
All maint records (and I mean ALL, like keeping a .50cent Home Depot receipt for a couple washers.)
The thing is immaculate. Not a single flaw on the whole boat.
Trailer has disc surge brakes and indepentent Torsion suspension.
We paid $9500... a steal considering the market around here.
I'm already working on building a wakebord tower... something simple, like this: http://www.bartswatersports.com/imag...image-7811.jpg
Also working on a small platform for the stern to give it some more fishing flexibility... more on that after I've got something.
We'll have it out on the water in a couple hours... more pics tonight!

Yup, back in the mid-nineties, those little jet's were all the rage. The little ones came with like 85hp motors... here's one close to me:

and a few others, no pics:

Any one of those with a new 200hp Rotax would be a beast.

Sam that boat is beautiful and it sounds like you raped that guy when you bought it cause that's one hell of a price.
I have a Boston Whaler Rage. It's a little 14' w/ Johnson & Evinrude 110HP in board jet. Cool little boat. Just about anything can tow it, it's pretty easy on gas, hauls people well enough and will pull most skiers. Sucks because it has pretty much zero wake and the low end power is kinda weak. Just wish i had the time to take it out.

Two places... theres a little "party cove" just south of downtown Norfolk in a backwater channel called Deep Creek. It's amazing how much water is in the Hampton Roads area. There are canals and creeks and channels all throughout.
See the mapquest pic below. Just mapquest Steel St, Chesapeake Va if you want to know exactly where it is. All of Deep Creek is good for watersports.
Also there are a few good spots in an area called Broad Bay and parts of the Lynnhaven River system over in Virginia Beach.

Nice boat, sorry i didn't call while I was down...too busy laying around on the beach

Nah, wasn't flying on Monday... but the VaBch area is Hornet central. They're everywhere. You were probably hanging out in an area just under part of the landing pattern.
I'll be back up there week after next for more simulator ****. We'll get some of the boys together one night and have beers.
