I don't understand that. If you're doing something custom, get a variable tps on there. The MSPNP does NOT use the TPS signal AT ALL unless you use a variable TPS. Going out of your way to fit the 1.6 TPS is a waste of time and resources.

whoa, whoa, whoa...

I thought the 1.6 tps was essentialy "on / off" with a full throttle signal. I thought some sort of switch was involved with the 1.6 tps to the mspnp. If I'm wrong, that will make me very happy. If the t-body functions as nothing more than a an air valve, I'll obviously not **** with it.

edit: considering everything I've ever read on tuning ms has nothing to do with anything tps related...I'm a dumb-***.

If you're interested in something like that, pm me. My father owns a few salvage yards so I get all kinds of deals on ****. I can pick up a 6-speed with ease.

my car made 88whp, on the dyno like 6 months ago. I think going to a :
forged bottom end 1.8; 8.6:1 (Mike Brink / Brink Racecraft is building the motor)
99 head (5 angle / ported / polished / extrude honed)
bell s3 (gt2860rs / big fmic)
3" exhaust
spec s3 clutch
24 row oil cooler
big radiator
custom under-tray
clutch lsd
free dyno tuning
1.8 brakes
corner weighted 440/30GC and bilsteins
RA-1's
...will make a nasty car that I'll keep forever.

I plan on running 5psi at the track until I learn what I'm doing. I can't imagine what turning up the boost will be like.

If he's willing to do the work, have him fab something up with a 1.8 tps. The variable signal will help with boost control and overrun. It might be better for accel enrichment too, I don't know. But it has a lot of potential benefits. It is worth doing.

PM me about a 6 speed. Thanks

BTW, I just got a 96 block and a 99 head to start a build with myself (picking it up tomorrow)!!
