so I think I need a rebuild on my tdo4. Im pretty sure its a 9b.

after reading the stuff on here about rebuilds, im not too afraid, but when I look for rebuild kits for the 9b I cant really find much.

first question: does this look right?

i got a kit off of ebay that looked very similar to that for my 16g but it was from Kansai sport. It gets the job done.

so I finally got a look at my turbo today. there was some oil in front of the compressor inlet but i think that is because I need a gtx pvc. im confused though.

My turbo is making whining sounds like that one youtube video with the defective garret(dont remember where to find thread), and when i go wide open, it sounds like something is scraping in the turbo. the reason im confuesd is that the turbo has next to no shaft play.

and everything else looks good from the outside also

should I order a rebuild kit anyway?
