Good Things
A friend of mine is a GunnySGT in Iraq right now. He called me a few days ago. We shot the **** for a very short while, and I asked him if I could send him anything. He answered with "whisky and ****." And told me to send it to him in a "flat rate" box from the USPS.
So I got two of these Priority boxes from the post office, one box for each requested item. I take one to the package store. I've been to this store before, maybe a handfull of times in the past 6 years since it's been legal for me to do so. I hand the box to the guy behind the counter, and told him that I needed some good whiskey, that would fit in the box, and be consumed by my bud and his boys in Iraq. I told him I wanted to fit the largest container of whisky possible in the box. "No problem," he says as he pulls a perfectly sized bottle of JD from under the counter and slips it into the USPS box. "Tell them this one is on me, and I appreciate what they are doing." I was amazed.

Pretty cool....You're a good friend to have.
I did the same thing in 1982, except my friend had just graduated from high school and had to go live in Saudi Arabia with his dad. We sent over a couple fifths of Jack in a care package. He decided to share it with his friends in the American compound. They all ended up getting **** faced, stole a Chevy Suburban, and rolled it out in the desert. A few days later the Saudi's found the SUV and tracked everyone back. My friend didn't even get to say good bye to his family. The U.S. military had him on a state bound transport
