Yeah- that's why I made that swap story up.... for the diesel connection. I like diesels. I had an F350 dually crew cab with a 7.3... and that Fiat 2.0 turbo van I had in Sicily was cool too.

I <3 cheapo Japanese shitboxes.

I've had a string of 91-95 Ford Escorts (two wagons, two GTs), an NX2K, an 85 Corolla GT-S, and now my Miata. Nothing I like more than <$1000 quirky little cars that I can beat the snot out of, especially ones with turbos and high redlines.

Stopped and looked at a Triumph Stag today, but the thing was a basket case. Shame, too, because it was damn cool looking.

I also suffer from this debilitating disease. Every time I see an NX2000, Cressida, AE86, 1st gen MX6 GT and basically any old Mazda, I drool. My Fiancee does not share my appreciation for the older japs. She even says my Miata is a pile(and it makes me cry), when in reality, it's pretty damned nice. I miss my 97 MX6 LS, and I would like another, but once again she thinks it's UGLY!

Though, on the flip side, she doesn't put down my ideas for a new car. I've been tossing around the idea of an EVO and she's a fan because it's 4 door and AWD. I've also been thinking of a Mazdaspeed Protege.

I just miss my old '93 MX6 LS (KLZE baby!) for the noise it made. That thing made music at full throttle.

If you want an MSP, your choices are building the bottom end and welding the diff, or being slow

Better than biodeisel is converting to straight grease! Grassroots had an article about some big time racer that did that with his.

A KL engine with ITB's is even more awesome.
