That's a funny picture. When some random asswipe sees my phone and asks, "oh, is that an iphone??" I always want to punch them in the face with a pair of spiked knuckles.
Afterall, the iphone gives you the "whole internet in your hand."
Unless the site has flash.
Speaking of phones, has anyone noticed the sudden change in fagggy phone trends? First a phone was just a phone until they started to get a little smaller. Then every needle dick asshat needed a stupid Motorola Razr because 'they're so thin!' even though the phone really truly was a piece of trash. Guess that trend fell apart, when was the last time you heard about one? It's been like 5 years since I've even seen one. Now we seem to be working in the exact opposite direction as they get larger and larger with screens, cameras, dual-core processors, bigger batteries and other swiss army issued items..

Found teh video on break.com but their shitty site doesn't let you embed videos without html. I ripped and uploaded to youtubes.

After you go skydiving that guy will still call you a *****.
This video has always got me thinking about how wimpy I am when I climb up that 180 foot tower at work. For the record, I am sore for about 3 days after I climb it a few times:

I've seen that video several times. No thanks. I climb a water tower which is about 180 feet tall at least once a year, sometimes more often which typically takes me nearly 30 minutes to go up. The tower is newer in design so the entire ladder is enclosed inside the building. The first 80 feet is 4 sections of 20' ladders with large landings between each section and they zig-zag left to right. Once you've completed the first 80 feet there is a small catwalk into the middle of the room where you've got a 130 foot ladder straight up the middle of the tank. Takes me 25 minutes to climb the first 80 feet because I rest a lot between, once I get to the final climb I don't stop.
Its always nice to not be the first one up or last one down. After the top hatch is opened there is a huge draft of air which flows very quickly through the tower. Ambient temp outside can be nearly 100 degrees while air temp at the top of the tube is around 70 degrees.
There is a 20 foot section of Rohn 25 welded to the water tower deck/rail with our antenna mounted to it. Had a bad storm roll through and bent the mast pretty badly, so I had to move it off the mast onto the tower section. Have to go back up and replace a connector in the next week or two, might take my camera and get some cool pictures..
Climbing and heights don't bother me; I used to climb utility poles on a daily basis with nothing but a belt and some hooks for work. It was fun and generally if the weather was nice, I really enjoyed my job... That said, there is no ******* way in hell I'd climb a 1700 foot tower.
A photo my boss took of re-qualification. The instructors always told me I was a natural at climbing with hooks, and thankfully after climbing probably 300 semi-rotten telephone poles I never had a slip or otherwise mishap.
Typical day of the week.. There used to be three of us that'd combine all of our service tickets into a group and roll around together. Got us into trouble more than once but man was it a blast. Two Scotts on a pole..
Guy on the left called us once to rescue him from a pole. Got into the yard and climbed up to around 30 feet to do some service. Finished and started down when he noticed a ******* monster dog waiting for him at the base of the pole. He was stuck up there for over an hour before the two of us showed up to MacGyver his *** off the pole. Pole was like 35 feet from a chain link fence inside the dogs yard. We ended up hooking a 30' extension ladder to the cable TV messenger strand between 2 utility poles, wrapped his safety line around the same messenger cable and shimmey'd his way across the steel cable to the ladder.. Nothing we tried got the damn dog to go away, while Scott is inching his way along the cable Dave and I are rolling on the ground half dead from laughter.. I miss that job..
