No, I'm not speaking to the issue of counterfeiting at all.

I'm saying that the Esperante and the Chevette are examples of two products of highly different quality and performance which were both made in the same country.

Likewise, some products made in China are of high quality and yield good performance, while other products made in China are of low quality and perform badly. As a broad generalization, many people seem to think that all products made in China are of poor quality, and I am merely stating that this is not universally true.

Whether said products are copies of something else is immaterial with regard to how well they perform in a given application.

Remember in Back to the Future when Doc said "No wonder this part failed- it says Made in Japan!" At one time, the Japanese had a reputation for building derivative junk. But they evolved out of that, and by the 1980s had established a reputation for building dependable, high-quality products.

China is in the same position today that Japan was in the 1960s. In 20 or 30 years' time, Made in China will universally denote a product of superior quality, and we'll all be complaining about the crappy knockoff products coming out of some other country.

Yeah, that guy. Plus he's known far and wide for having the worst customer service in the history of ever, and for wearing Canadian Suits, jorts, and a country *** mustache.

Probably the US. Takes time to build up a manufacturing base, and we have gutted ours.

If you say so.
Hes probably sick of dealing with pissants. I can only imagine the ---- he has to deal with running a company like that.

A good friend of mine has had his bottom end, transmission, and turbo setup all built by Buscher racing and has nothing but good things to say.

Saxton Hale has the best customer service known to man. If you're not 100% satisfied with his company's products, you can take it up with HIM!

That'd be my guess. It's the primary reason why I stayed out of the automotive aftermarket even after a very attractive offer came my way a couple of years ago. I'd hate dealing with all you whiny cheapskates every day as a vendor.

You misunderstood. Brain and Hustler HATE "because racecar" and make a huge deal over it. Several people including myself have been temp banned over it in the past. I was making fun of them, among others.

I fixed it, just for you, and FRT_Fun b/c he gets butthurt over stuff like that too.

EDIT: I think we've been over this, but I know the difference, I just type something out quickly and post it, forgetting about stuff like "your" vs "you're" sometimes.

I'm normally not a grammar or spelling **** on web forums.... However "to, too, two, there, their, and they're" are some of the simplest parts of the English language bro. It's really not that hard.
