Ah, I see you're correct. I glanced at it only briefly (was averting my eyes, mostly) and the door shape looked Miata-ish. Didn't notice the kick-up aft the doors, however.
I was going to guess something in the neighborhood of a '70s vintage GM F-body car, but the crease in the door skin is missing.

I was kind of torn. The curved part at the rear of the doorskin is what made me think F-body, but you see in the picture y8s posted how there's a horizontal crease that runs all along the width of the door? The image you originally posted doesn't seem to show that- the door skin seems almost perfectly curved. That made me doubt my guess somewhat.
Just out of curiosity, did you grow up in an English-speaking country? I ask because, in addition to displaying a better grasp of English grammar than most Americans I know, you seem to have an extremely high level of awareness of elements of Anglo-American culture that I would not expect from someone who was raised in an environment where American or British media was not prevalent.

I was blessed with an exceptional education here, and I took the first chance I had to move to the US.
That was way back in '85, when I was offered a scholarship to continue my studies.
I lived in the US for 20 years before I returned to Istanbul.
I have always been very much into cars, especially two seater convertibles, and I was the third person in line at the Mazda dealership when the Miata was about to be launched. (I used to drive a 1973 TR6 Triumph back then)
Turkey, especially Istanbul is fine and dandy, but there are certain things I miss. The car scene is one, for instance.
So, I latch on to this forum to make up for what I miss (pun intended) and keep up with what's going on over there.
That's pretty much me in a nutshell.

the shape of the perimeter of the door is what makes it look right. the door handle/lock looks wrong but, like the crease, they could have bondoed the shiit out of it.

Thanks for that, oilstain. I probably wouldn't have had any reason to use Google Maps this weekend otherwise.
