Go get it Joe!
They dont stand a chance.

Is it bad I had thought to do the same thing, but lacked the male side of that connector to use as well. I still have my eye out for a male side every time im in a junk yard.

They didn't notice it the last time. I teed into the brake booster vacuum hose and ran the line straight back through the firewall adjacent to the speedometer cable via an existing hole.

'Tis.

I cut the two yellow wires from the OEM connector (upper-right) and separated the four injectors. So the OEM connector now carries 12v, CLT and NBO2.

The lower-left connector has the new discrete wires for all for injectors, plus two additional grounds from the ECU to the head.

In this case, I didn't bother with junkyard parts. Both the male and female ends are new Molex MLX150 series connectors that I bought from Mouser. They're shockingly inexpensive.

You do need to have a proper crimping tool to do these. In my case, I'm fortunate to have about a dozen different professional-grade crimping tools at work, and one of them happened to fit the terminals properly.

You might be able to get away with using pliers to fold the contacts and then soldering them, but I can't make any guarantees there.

I'm still trying to figure out what the expected outcome of that particular activity was.
