My brother actually gave me a copy of the cassette tape. You couldn't buy it but he managed to bootleg it somehow. Probably from the same dude that he bought weed from. When my parents heard me listening to it they beat my ******* ***..

I don't remember the thing ever being illegal (can't remember where I got my copy) but I sure did love that album. I still regularly play it. It has been a while since I was into it but there were also a ton of sampling in the album that they got in trouble for. Luther got into some trouble a few years ago down here (an underage girl did some rather nasty stuff on stage at one of his concerts). IIRC, insurance companies won't insure his concerts any longer so I don't think he jams now. They were a huge act at one time and can't make money now. Sad...
