Damn thats crazy. One slip and you could easily have a number of seriously injured or even dead people. There's a drift event held every month in the summer in upstate NY and they have everyone behind fences.

Kinda makes sense now that I think about it since the USMC (and Navy i would think) say deck instead of ground regardless of if their on a ship or the moon.
