Default RFID Door locks?

Anyone use any sort of RFID or other electronic lock?

I just bought my first house and am going to replace the locks. I like the idea of an RFID or electronic lock. I am ideally looking for something where I can have the card or key in my pocket and when I grab the door, it unlocks. I have come across some with key fobs like a car, but you still have to pus the button.

Wish list:
$ < 200
Accepts keypad, key and RFID.

I know RFID has other security issues, but living in WV, I don't think many of my neighbors or anyone in a 100mile radius has a RFID scanner/duper.

Anyone using anything like this?

I believe there is one that works with the NFC tech in the android phones like for google wallet. I thought I saw it in pop sci but that they were over like 200.

That would be cool, but neither me or my wife have NFC capable phones.

my sister's husband did this at their house. he built his own electronics to control it and wrote a program to handle the security. it is accessible via network to add and remove users and log traffic.

That is pretty cool actually. It's kind of big a dumb looking. But I guess it has to look that way if you want it to be easily installed. lol at built in knock sensor...

Ohhh, I like. And for only $150. Very Tempting!

I was looking at homebrew bluetooth options, but my house is pretty small. As in, if I'm on the couch in the living room, I am more than within bluetooth range for a connection. Wonder if this has some sort of timeout feature. Once your connected, it is only active to unlock the lock for 30seconds. But if that the case and I walk up from the inside to answer the door with my phone in my pocket, will it unlock for the perps? Hmmmm

^ I have written off homebrew/DIY ones. I don't even have time to work on my cars, the last thing I need is a new hobby/project.

So I decided to pre-order one of these. We will see if it actully works or not. Expected ship date is May. I don't expect to see it until July.

I was really curious about that, but I couldn't even come close to justifying that much money for one.

It was cheaper than most options I found and had more features. Even homebrew solutions got expensive and required more work than I wanted to invest. Electronic locks started out at $250, so for $150 +$30 lock I'm still in $70 less. And i see great potential for homebrew flashes for these things to add awesome capabilities since.

Just a little update. You have to love supporting kickstarter campaigns. All these end up the same. Company over promises and can't deliver. The manufacturing process and connections don't happen the way they expect. I am now 22 months from initial order. 14 months from original estimated ship date and 9 months from when I sent payment. The last estimated ship date I was given was May 2014. Guess I will just keep waiting... They keep sending updates saying more and more are shipping.
