Did you mean 75 miles or 75 pounds? I seriously hope you didn't mean 75 miles, unless the head used to be on your only car.

I shipped my head to flydaddyskidz Monday from Nebraska to NJ. It arrived today. It went UPS and was about $60 for 89 lbs (fully dressed). Hope it arrived OK, haven't heard yet. I insured it. It was only a couple bucks more.

Jason where are you shipping it? I'm headed up that direction. If it's around Daly City or San Francisco, maybe I can help. I'm driving up from Bakersfield.

The head came yesterday. There was no shipping damage to the box, all looks to be ok.

I can say nothing bad about UPS... I also received a 99 head through them, but the shipper was smart and put a piece of plywood that covered the bottom of the box. Hope this helps...

USPS is a bitch when it comes to weight.
UPS will ship almost anything, but will almost ALWAYS **** it up.
FedEx has problems delivering to the right addresses.

I just shipped my brothers guitar that I sold on ebay for $3609 via FedEx and insured for $4000. I packed the **** out of this thing, but then again I always do. I just didn't want to take the chance with UPS. I have no faith in UPS when it comes to handling.

However, I'm on my way out now to drop off this MGB bumper I just packed up to ship via UPS. Hard to beat a $27 price tag on a 65"x12"x7" (21lb) package. But I packed this thing like it was a live baby. UPS will almost always drop, throw, or stomp your ****....so keep that in mind if you choose them.

UPS "lost" an entire pallet with about $1M worth of equipment on it for my work. I wouldn't trust them either

bolt a piece of 1/2 particle board to the bottom that sticks out past the length and width as a sacrificial element.

but seriously, get someone to drive it up for 20 bucks.

Or meet the buyer halfway.

Not worth the hassle of packing and shipping.

The harddrive died in my computer about a month ago. I called HP at 5:30pm, they set up the order to send out recovery disks and a replacement harddrive so I could swap it myself. At 7:32am the next day my doorbell rang and woke me up. By the time I got to the door there were my recovery disks and harddrive sitting at the doorstep as the FedEx man drove off. I still can't figure out how that was even possible.

something tells me it's not being sold. i think the name of a shop that makes custom cams is the destination.

Ah... Well that would make more sense. I would still drop it off personally and pick it up upon completion. I drove over 7 hours to pick up and inspect an engine before paying for it.

You know IF we had an Autobahn system, I WOULD drive there, because driving at 120-130 mph is actually FUN, and it would take me 40 minutes each way.

Given that the USA has an antiquated hiway system with constant harassment by Speed *****, and I would have to slog along at 75 mph til my eyes glaze over. No thanks, I'd rather pack it and pay UPS.

P.S. it really IS fun driving on the autobahn when traffic is light.
