lol, yep, kinda hard to keep going when the baby's protesting, eh? My wife's nurses kept telling me how important it was to have sex with her until the baby came, it supposedly helps things come along...

So maybe a little update, she is currently 6 days past her due date. Tomorrow night at 10 she will be endused. Bad luck today though, the bathroom toilet backed up and flooded the house. Now they are ripping all the carpet up. Everything is pretty emotional right now.

GOOD LUCK! I have 4 with my new "guy" (the rest are girls) and he is a blast. They are all special. You'll have some rough times, but enjoy them cause they go fast. My oldest will be 10 next month.
BTW keep the Miata if you still have it. We'll be looking for pics of the new one.
I still don't seem to need a "daddy stitch". LOL! Never heard of that.

Lol, will post pics a soon as I can...unless all the internet is ripped up when they pull all the furniture and carpet out. I think we are going to have laminate wood put in.

I'm 43 and I still remember the year my mother took the summer off work (1973 - I was 6 years old). Dad worked constantly and I never got to see him. Have never once thrown a football or played catch with my dad. He did have a nice Corvette and a big house though...

Hate to harp on you, but my daughter turns 3 at the end of this month, and I've learned one important thing:
THERE IS NOTHING MORE VALUABLE THAN THE TIME YOU CAN SPEND WITH YOUR KIDS.
Do whatever you can to advance your career to the point that you can support your family with an 8hr day. Yes, overtime rocks, yes, we have to kiss *** and stay late sometimes...but you will regret it.
That last line in Robert's post is just sad, but true for many. Don't be that guy.
As far as your wife...if she's stay-at-home material (all women are really unless they are lazy and have no discipline), do whatever you can to let her stay home. My wife works right now until I finish school, and I HATE EVERY DAMN DAY OF IT. I hate seeing her come home tired, I hate seeing her work late. We talk all the time about how we want to be home more...IT SUCKS. She really doesn't have to work since we're in a good financial spot and I work full time around school, but until I can provide 120% of what we need she wants to have that cushion, and her steady income helps us when I end up working part-time the month before finals.
Make your career facilitate a strong family, because it certainly doesn't work the other way around.

I always look to my Grandparents (95 and 85 years old - live way out in the country) as guidance. In their day the man worked and the woman stayed home with the kids. People weren't in debt, people didn't get divorced, kids didn't have a sense of entitlement and weighed about 20% less. Something happened to the people of this country when women left the home to start working. My wife stays home (we don't have kids) and we sacrifice. We've been married 20 years and are happy. If we had kids they would be home schooled and I would throw the TV away. Why do people try to turn their kids into **** instead of good people? Things were much better 60 years ago (save for all the racism and stuff that the mistakes country has grown out of).

Do you want to call my grandmother and ask her. She raised two kids and has been married for over 60 years so maybe that will meet your qualifications to comment on the subject.
