I once pulled a massive drift pulling out from a backroad to a country road and the cop let me off when I said my foot slipped off the clutch. I wasn't even racing, I just gave it a bit too much and decided to hold it out.

Back in HS we used to race behind some office buildings, the cops showed up and wrote a bunch of tickets. My car wasn't there but I raced my friends escort against a saturn, of course they wouldn't suspect us of participating lol. All the V8 boys got tickets.

I got a ticket for racing a harley in my old S2000. The guy was driving like an *** and I decided to show him that his POS bike wasn't even remotely fast. Stupid move on my part. The cop let the bike go and gave me a speeding ticket for 93 in a 45, guess I lucked out. (I was walking the harley though, haha)

I was on the way to the street races one night years ago and nearly got ticketed. They used to race at one end of a divided 4 lane highway, the end that was dark and had little traffic. They would line both sides of the street, 100's of cars. Anyway, this night me and 2 friends were heading to that end of highway 280 to see if they were out there, we had no idea if they were or not. We got to around the usual place and just on my side of a little hill only 1/4 mile or so away from where they were racing were probably 15 cop cars waiting to attack. As soon as we cruised by they pulled out and all flipped the lights on and everyone scattered like roaches. We kept putting along and eventually got pulled over as we were about to turn off at the end of the road. The cop asked us if we were racing. "No sir, just passing through" which was the truth, we never stopped. He let us go, but they got about 50 people that night and gave them all tickets. It was pretty wild. Looked like that scene from Fast and the Furious. COPS!!!

I have a scary cop sense. Often I can tell someone in the car with me that we will see a cop within 10 seconds, and it happens. Which is why I have NEVER gotten caught doing all of the stupid **** I have done over the years. I have deserved hundreds of tickets, and haven't gotten a single one, at least not for a moving violation. I also constantly scan both sides of the road, and shoulders, and also slow down for things like on-ramps, where as other people seem to speed with no thought to it.

You better knock on wood.

On-ramps are treated like drag strips in my car.

I meant as I pass them on the interstate. Cops like to sit on them and wait for people to pass. Most people don't think twice about it, but I at least keep an eye on them as I pass. I also treat them like launch pads (for my slow POS, **** rocket).

This isn't a street racing story but it's a good ticket story. I was driving home latish (around 8pm in the summer) in my 1987 Pontiac Turbo Firefly (3 Cylinder 1.0 liter turbo ftw). But anyways, I was on the passing lane section (2 lanes going one way, 2 the other), and I was coming up to where it all ends, and saw a car quite a ways ahead of me that I knew was a crazy slow driver. Once the passing lane ends, there is no passing lanes for a good 40 minutes. So I just hammer on the throttle and get the car pretty maxed out (hit 170ish km/h). I realize that I don't have enough passing lane to pass him, and there's no traffic coming, so I go into the opposing lane, and rip past the guy.

I then see a police officer walk into the middle of the road, pointing right at me. I slam on the brakes, lock all four wheels. I stopped just in time and pulled over. He walks up to my window and was silent for a bit, not quite knowing what to say. I had a box of breath mints and offered him one. He said "NO I DON'T WANT A MINT! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?"
Yah it didn't go too well from there...

I passed some guy going stupid slow in 30mph 2 way street right as a cop was pulling up to the street. His lights went on but luckily I was on my bike, so I got away.

My friends and I used to play frisbee at night in the lighted middle school parking lot (we were in HS). Well one night we inevitably got bored and I saw that the sidewalk leading down the hill to the track was pretty wide for a sidewalk.

Friend: "betcha your miata won't fit on it."
Me: "here, hold my frisbee."

---minutes pass---

Cop: "Just what the hell did you think you were doing?"
Me: "uh, driving on the track?"

I got away ticketless. He said he was going to be back in the morning to check if I had damaged the brand new track. Funny thing is I tried to drift around the corner but didn't have enough power to break the tires loose, lolz. That's about my best story.

I can't even guess at how many times I've been blocked in while out screeeeet racings. I've only gotten a loitering and a DC ticket here and there though, never got caught in the cat....well, I did, but really, you think a cop is going to go after two cars when there are another 80+ that are sitting ducks? I've had a few close ones though. See, in GA, undercover cars can't pull you over. We were at this one spot, probably 100+ cars out there. I lines up with a new Mustang GT (this was in 05.. I had my sc'ed 99). I ran the Mustang and beat him. I was up to race a Z28 and right as the flagger raised his arms someone started yelling "COPS!COPS!COPS!" and we all started to scatter. I booked it to the entrance of the massive industrial park and dipped out right at 6 cars came in lights blazing. One did a U-turn. I thought about running but decided that maybe if I was cool leaving he just check me out and leave. Nah, he lit me up insted...

"What were you doing over there?"
"I was just there watching some friends race."
"Bullshit swamp breath. You were racing. We know you raed that Mustang and were about to run a Camaro"
**WTF?!?!** I stay silent.
"Get out of the car for me".
*gets out*
*cops looks at car*
"You mommy and daddy pay for your tires?"
"no."
"You mommy and daddy pay for your car?"
"no"
"You mommy and daddy bail you out of jail"
*lol*"no"
*cops rants about hating damn street racers when they could be out stopping real crimes and how we (kids) are so stupid*

Didn't get a ticket though. Funny thing is this county's police are soo friggin LAZY. I hate them...not because I have gotten tickets, but I see them pass soo much wrong ****, I see them break soooo many laws...hell, two of them were racing in their patrol cars on a road a killed a motorcyclist (but weren't charged because they claimed that the motorcycle didn't have proper taillights).

One spot we were at got blocked in one night and I dipped to the back of a building, found a giant tarp covering a pile of sand and put the tarp over my car and walked away. They never found me

Another time some friends were lining up when a set of headlights appeared behind them. Next thing I see is the headlights splitting between them and hauling *** up to where we were chilling. Everyone starts running and I jump in my car. Right as I start it up the cop comes flying past me and we locked eyes. That motherf*cker slams on the brakes and locks up the rears and does a Hollywood-style j-turn in middle of the road. Right has he started that, I dumped the clutch and rolled out sideways onto the road behind him and took the **** off as he was trying to turn around. I ended up hiding behind two buildings with about 6" of clearance on either side of my car.

I could probably think of many more stories, but I don't want to bore you guys.
