Took first poop today after ~9 days of pain med induced constipation. Holy ----(literally). 5 good sized logs that made my *** hole feel like I was birthing quintuplets. Followed by probably a half gallon of hot black steaming *** goo.

I always ate veggies and fruits vegetables; I do so more now.. The steroid suppository treatment exacerbated the problem by softening the skin and letting it tear more.

I did this for a while and it helped. I'm still on the Nifedipine medication to reduce stand ---- sphincter pressure.

So how long are we going to pretend we believe this fissure was caused by 'outgoing traffic'?

We all know Lo Lo and Deetrel in cell block 6 had their way with Hustlers anus. We're just letting him get some dignity back by humoring his elaborate lie

It's shocking to me that this thread made it page 8 without anyone saying, "We can't help you unless you post some logs."

Psyllium Husk Fiber capsules. I take 4-5 with each meal, regardless of what the meal consists of. Been doing this for about six months, and my pooping experience has never been more pleasant.

A lot of folks think of fiber supplements as being some weird, scary thing that applies only to old people. Fiber doesn't give you the runs, and it doesn't make you poop uncontrollably. It simply makes the process much easier and more refined. No runny stools, and no lincoln log anus-busters. Take note, you "all-protein" crowd!

It used to be that pooping took time. Hard, angry stools that I really had to coerce into showing themselves were common. And a lengthy process, often involving a full chapter of whatever book happened to be near the commode. Now, the entire process is reduced to just a minute or two, often leaving me unable to complete a single level of Angry Birds.

The poop should have the consistency of a soft clay (not quite play-doh, but softer than modeling clay), breaking cleanly upon exit rather than coiling within the bowl, and leaving no residue upon the anus, nor streaking the bowl. When I wipe, the paper comes back almost totally clean. No more having to scour the anus half a dozen times to get all the residue, there simply isn't any. One quick swipe with maybe a 16" long section of tissue folded into three layers confirms that I'm good to go.

In all seriousness- even if you think there's nothing wrong, I'd advise anyone to at least give it a try for a couple of days. You may not know what you've been missing.
