Example of Jewish luck in this thread.
Have any of you non-jews ever wondered what Jewish luck is? Jewish luck can almost be considered a synonym for irony.
Let me share an example with you.
2 weeks ago my parents decide to be the Jews that they are and buy a new shower head at the 99 cents store. Now this is POS is made of plastic, I warned them that it will leak and fail in a matter of days. They dont believe me, naturally, and just say install it. I oblige and do as I was told.
Shower head installed... 1 week still fine... 2 weeks still fine... then we get to today 2 weeks and one day.
I come home from hard day of work, spend the last 3 hours in a dark garage clocking my turbo and now I finally went to shower.
I carry myself to the shower turn on the water, engage the shower head. Wash everything but my face... I then proceed to lather up my face and get ready to rinse.
As soon as I turn and stand under the shower head with my eyes closed the articulating half of the shower head separates from the part that is bolted to the pipe and strikes me in the head like the fist of angry god.
That is Jewish luck.
You know whats even funnier, I reassembled the thing and hope it hits my dad next so then I can say I told you so.

sounds like my landlord.
buys his kitchen faucet at ikea and surprise surprise after 3 years, the ring holding the spout in disintegrates and shoots the faucet like a rocket + geyser.
His solution? Go back to Ikea, buy 2 more. one to install and one spare.
and he's not even jewish.
I have to wonder... how many ikea faucets are the cost of a normal not shitty faucet?

I think im going to use this experience in my standup routine.
I'm just thankful for one thing, that this experience didnt traumatize me to the point that im afraid of showers.
