Red Neck Project turbo Miata
The consequences of having too many beers when working on cars. There has to be a moment when the person must stop and simply let go... LOL
1991 mazda miata v8 turbo
It is not spam, just made me cry when I saw the poor Miata. Although it is so tempting to go all out Mad Max style.

Case and point:
house painting:
"I would even trade for a little pickup truck as long as it runs, or some jet skis or a boat "
Stove:
"items possibly wanted---- 1-pair of jet skis- 2008up model"
Tattoos:
"trading my professional tattoo work for electronics and other things..
looking for but not limited to: JET SKIS"
Is it like the unofficial currency of FL?

Considering how fun jetskis are and how easily they can be used in Florida I can see why a lot of people would take them in a trade. You also have to realize a lot of the rednecks and "white trash" that post things on craigslist are also the same people who have "salt life" clothes and stickers on every vehicle. Most of them own boats or some form of watercraft so jetskis are like the ultimate toy.

<---- Lives in Florida but does not own jet skis and does not wish to trade anything for them.
I do own a pickup truck and a boat, but and I haz more teef than fingers and toes so I guess I don't fit the target demographic.
By the way, I need a place to keep a horse if anyone nearby has a pasture.

I'd drive that. I'd be the baddest ************ on my island.
Also, +1 for jet skis being retarded. I've spent more time working on them in the open water than actually having fun on them. Same goes for boats, too.
The best boat/jet ski is the one your friends lets you use, not the one you own.

That is probably because they were not maintained correctly. Most people do not run clean water through them and hose them down after every ride. This is especially important if you are riding them in saltwater. A lot of people also ride them through shallow water and suck up a bunch of sand or mud and wonder why the motor starts smoking. I would never buy a used jetski for this reason as I have been burned before because of the PO's complete lack of maintenance that I was unaware of at the time. If you buy them new and maintain them properly you should not be working on them anymore then a dirtbike.

Would like to see the beginning projects of such master mind...
Jet skis are fun, but knowing that people go "missing" or better say, jet ski jacking and one is easily disposed, I pass. On the other hand, a nice utv has good resale and great use in outdoor FL.
Does it say: "In Boost we Trust"? On the windshield.

My dad has had the same boat since 70 something up until I was about 13 it was used regularly and maintained properly and it never left us stranded or gave him any huge problems. Then we quit using it and it sat and deteriorated, after a few years me and brother got into skiing and wakeboarding, and it was a nightmare until we took it in and had it completely gone over, and for the 5 or 6 years when it was used and kept up it was great, then it sat again, and a few months ago me and my brother pulled it back out and are having to redo/rebuilt everything from the motor, to the interior (is it called interior on a boat)
The best thing for boats and jet skis is regular use and proper maintenance, problem is, most dont get it.
I wouldnt mind having the miata, you could probably get it for cheap and just because its ugly doesnt mean its not quick. Hes already shoved a SBF and a Turbo in there for you, do some bodywork and clean up the engine bay, you could have a nice sleeper. I dont know how I feel about the axle swap though, Id want to look at his fabrication and see how sketchy it is, may be able to get away with just having the rear shortened.
Then again, I am from TX and did spend my weekend hog sticking, so I am a redneck and may fall right into his target demographic.
