Default Advice needed on Floor Jack purchase

So I've owned and used enough crappy floor jacks and I want to get a nice one now. I have seen some where the part that contacts the car is large and rubber...these seem like they would be good for avoiding damage to the jack points on a vehicle. I also want something with a longer handle that only takes a 2 or three pumps to jack a vehicle up fully. Of course I want something at a good price too...and that will last me awhile...advice???

2 ton hell you don't get much lift out of those 400$ for a jack wtf. my engine puller was less than that.

My dad got a 4 ton jack from Sears 10 years ago. Gets much heavier use than normal, at his auto shop. It just started leaking fluid, but is still usable. Much better than the walmart jack I have at home, that won't even get a car high enough to change a tire.

Our latest 3ton craftsmen started leaking about a week after we started using it. It seems they are getting realy cheap on making jacks now a days.

jacks for miatas are almost worthless by themselves. none are low enough.

Just try them out when you see them. honestly I dont mind pumping a few times but the most important feature is a SMOOTH release when you twist the handle. my harbor freight jack has a lot of stiction and goes from "i wont budge" to "was that my foot?" in a quarter turn.

Almost looks like he used bottle jacks on blocks and used some autocross jacking technique to get in and get out.
