My battered 95 Nissan pickup is back - I am again able to haul.
It spent a month in the hands of a local body guy who works with a trade school - fixed all the rust(with metal, no less), painted, new bumpers - even painted the wheels - for under a grand! Looks better than it did 8 years ago when I got it, and I'm ready for another 90k miles.
Last night I finally finished my timing belt and seals, so all the rubber in my engine compartment is new; it runs, no leaks
. Got my 1.8 caliper brackets from a mildly-wrecked-but-totaled 95 - bigger brakes soon, can boost be far behind?
And, I'm leaving Friday morning for 8 days of hiking and camping in Maine.
It's already the best week I've had in a while.
I'll probably get stomped to death by a moose.
