Default Greg G @ Clubroadster can suck a nut

So I make a thread about Rharris's sweet flares for $450 and it get's deleted instantly. I know that their sponsor Rspeed sales the N2 Mazdaspeed copied Tuckin99 flares. Here is the PM's

Well that sucks for everybody wanting these that can't afford them. I'm not the seller and the Tuckin99's are a rip off of the original racing flares.

Yup. Since you're not the seller then no harm done eh?

No biggie. It is kind of weird though. There were whole threads on ebay brides, I guess you got to protect Rspeed since they pay you eh?

I wish I was paid I know the rules are weird. We generally don't touch wheels & seats (they couldn't pay me to wade in on those issues) but on bodykits they are pretty clear, especially for those still in production. Yes, the Tuckins are knockoffs of discontinued Mazdaspeed N2 flares. If he wanted to sell them here, a case could probably made to allow him to do so, if he pays the sponsorship fees.
Have a good one!

Well as I'm thinking about getting them I posted in the N2/Tucking99 Flare thread asking RotorNutFD3S if he got them from Rharris and that they were on double secret probation over there so we can't say to much.

He edits my post to this...

Are you getting some of knockoffs from knockoff land? I tried to make a post about how knockoffy they were...anyways. I think I might pick up a knockoff set for a future knockoff project. I've seen them in person (friend had a real set) they were monsterous. They give about 3" of extra clearance over a mildly pulled fender. I'm thinking about some 15x10 0 knockoffs's.

I like how he says in the PM that he knows the Tuckin99 are copies of the Mazdaspeed version. Then edits my post saying Rharris's are knockoff's but nothing about the Tuckin99's. I can get the whole knockoff thing. Even though I get it I'd still order Bride knockoff from ebay...price is price. These are dicontinued from the original source so who gives a **** who copies them. Normally I could care less whats goes on at CR or Mnet but his secret editing of my post pissed me off, that and the hundreds of threads on non vender wheels/shocks/turbo kits/etc. Maybe he has stock in Rspeed?

Anyways, just wanted to thank the people that run MT for using common sense and not be douche bags.

I don't think RSpeed carries them, but I know their sponsor Rev9 does... if you're willing to drop $775 plus the ridiculous shipping price and then wait 6+ months for them.

Before MazdaSpeed had them, the same flares were produced by another company. For the life of me I cannot remember who, want to say it's Pitcrew, but that doesn't sound right. Anyway, almost everything wheel/body/"style" related is a knockoff of something else and people will usually buy what satifies them based on price, quality, and availability, or a combination of the three.

I recieved a "language warning" for that post. I guess its ban time now that I'm seriously irritated by Greg's inability to sense satire at any stretch.

This is about what I expected out of them, so I am not in the least bit surprised. I appreciate you guys making posts to make it publicly known on there that there was an alternative to paying $850 shipped and waiting 6 months to get them. The whole thing is hypocritical from a copying standpoint as Jake pointed out with Greg, but whatever. If this is the worst that I have to deal with, then I am doing all right.

And Trey, I absolutely love you and your rediculous responses. You can take that as gay as you want to.
