Default Twin turbo V8 diesel CIVIC

Its absurd, original, involved a ton of custom fabrication, its turbocharged, runs of diesel, and did I mention that its absurd?
I love it.

I'd rock a turbodiesel in my miata if they weren't so damn big and heavy.

torque = fun

I wish diesel were as popular here as they are overseas. So many vehicles would be just SO much better.

Yeah that's a big F'n motor. I'd like to see someone take a VW TDI engine and put it in a miata and bitch it up. I mean it's 4 cylinders, right? It's turbo...so put a bigger turbo on it! My friend up the street has a Dodge ram 2500 extended cab with a Cummins Turbo Diesel in it. He has some 5 stage programmer on it, it's not bully dog, I think it's EDGE. Stock EVERYTHING, except exhaust, clutch, airbox and fuel pump. He laid down 400 some horsepower, and 853 FT/LBS OF TORQUE. he also burned up about 3 Centerforce Dual friction clutches, and finally decided to run a twin disc clutch. When you drive in it and it's on stage 1, and he pushes the button to up the stages while driving at full throttle, it just kicks harder and harder through every stage. I think when he dyno'd it was running 47 psi on the stock turbo? I know there are other guys around my area who are driving their trucks everyday and have laid down over 1200 ft / lbs, but most have twin turbo setups.

I still don't get why they picked a hideous car like a Honda civic. Hell an AMC Gremlin woulda been better!

I dont think the EG civic was a bad looking car. My only problem with them is that there are so many of them.
Its a pretty awesome chassis performance wise, makes a miata seem like a heavy pig.

^^^First thing I thought.^^^

I am in love with diesels. I am really on the fence about doing a cummins swap in my 2 door frontier in the next year or so. Would make a pretty nasty little truck

Isn't that all any good drag car is, a one-off with a shell to make it look more like a street car?

Short wheelbase drag cars tend to work well.

Exactly.

Kidding aside, diesels are FTW. This build reminds me of a big turbo diesel Grand National I saw on ebay. Sick.
