Do what you want, but when your rights (carrying guns) effect me I say **** you.

See i like little government but right now both parties are for making the government bigger, ie democrats more social services, republicans want big brother.

I'm just dying to know how my legal right to carry a concealed weapon affects YOU???

If you knew ANYTHING about the responsibility of a CCW license holder, you'd realize that anytime we even show our gun to someone, that's AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. IOW, it's highly unlikely a CCW holder would even let you know he is carrying in case some ***** like you would panic at the mere sight of a gun.

i'm a law abiding citizen, i won't effect your life.

i will agree with you both parties suck. i do like the republican government model(less is best, smaller=better),too bad they don't follow it any more.

i'm tired of this

Haha I grew up in chicago, been mugged twice and carjacked once all gun point. When some ignorant old rednecks know whats up they will see see how stupid this is

Call me a ***** because my ideas disagree with yours?
Whats it like not being able to intelligently stand by your convictions and communicate them to others? Also when you cant satisfy your wife do you let another man please her? If so feel free to give her my number.

That reminds me, if you have a daughter of age please let me know. Nothings better than making it a family affair.

Right but they died because of a crazy man with guns, its a discussion that will come up anyways.

I agree, this thread is getting way off topic.

Thankfully none of my friends or people I know well were involved. A couple people some of my close friends knew were in the German class though. I had never met any of them though.

obliterated serial numbers on his guns (a .22 and something else).
gun control doesn't control the black market anyway.
plus a campus wont ever allow students to carry guns so even if it's legal it's moot.

so...

unless you have metal detectors and security gates at every campus entrance (never ever going to happen), anyone can enter the campus carrying anything they want and you have very limited options for self defense.

this whole thing is kinda surreal. I feel bad for the friends and families of those kids.

wow that is a completely crazy situation .... I feel very sorry for the families and friends of those who were killed or injured ... :(

Unfortunately, there is little we can do to prevent these sorts of things from happening, which really sucks.

He's probably buying more parts to not install on his car.

Hard to believe this happened at VT (or anywhere really). Hell, when I was there, everyone was hungover and unmotivated on Monday morning.

It's hard to point fingers at the VTPD or leaders at VT. You can't really shut down a campus that big, any more than you can shut down a city when there's a shooting. Lock down? The first shooting happened IN A DORM. So what do you do? Lock people IN A DORM to protect them? Send people home? Many people call the dorms home. Blacksburg is in BFE. There aren't many places to go to get away, unless everyone has cars. And that would allow the potential shooter to flee just as easily and get lost in a crowd of mass exodus.

the guy who did it was a foriegn national from what i have heard how would passing laws to limit what real american citizens can do effect him. I say no citizenship no right oh wait a minute that is how it is anyway so WTF how is a kid from some foreign country with barely a student ID probably doing with 9mm handguns etc. If we focused more on the illegals doing illegal things than we did on the legal citizens who are just trying to live. Impuning our rights is never the way to go period. Giving up even the slightest freedom such as this leads us down a very dark path.
