I had to cut mine just to get my downpipe to fit properly. So even if that is cut it might only have been modified to fit the downpipe.

yeah, there's a square bracket right where you mount those and a connector of sorts that looks like a typical horn spade connector (same harness as the temp sensor). I'm assuming it had those at one point.

It still has a horn, but Im betting these came with a hi and low tone horn from the factory? sounds like I'm only left with the rinky dink high pitched one.

Yeah, even a larger down pipe requires the heat shield to be bent. And I dont know about any of you that worked on them but my original turbo to up pipe nuts got destroyed when I took the turbo off, I had to use the stripped nut removal sockets, and broke a 3/8 ratchet and extension. And a couple weeks later when I had to pull them again, almost did it again. Needless to say they got the **** anti-siezed out of them. Where was I going with that again? Oh yeah, check to see if those nuts flanged and use a 14mm wrench. That means they're either original or they bought new ones from the dealer/a specialty hardware store.

Haha yes there should be a horn right where my hella's are mounted in my picture.

The other horn is harder to get to and is located in the passenger fender. It's commonly never removed or disconnected because people are too lazy to find/remove it. I left mine installed and just disconnected it because I'm only 1/2 lazy hahaha. It sounded retarded with the stock horn & Hella's at the same time

Replaced well over a hundred subaru turbos and the only time I had that problem is from shitty out of state cars.

Whiteline sways are a nice tasteful mod. The body roll on a stock 3G wrx is atrocious!

if you're not running 500+ you have no reason to mess with a shitty fmic.

I do suggest a quality tmic replacement though. Your POS stocker will leak soon, as do all the plastic end tanked ones.

Thats what everyone says at the beginning...

haha nah but seriously it's a great car the way it sits now. Personally if it was me I would just buy a tactrix cable for $150 and a downpipe and go to town tuning it ..."Stage 2 brahhhh" lol

Then your air valves fail and since you got to pull the intake mani to replace those you might as well do tgv deletes, and you've got to pull the up pipe to get one of the block off plates on for the air valves so you got to pull the turbo and down pipe so you might as well do a down pipe. And since you're pulling the intake manifold off, you're gonna tear the turbo inlet so you might as well put in a better one of those...

Mmmmm fun times. My car was starting to stumble at red lights when it was cold just before I sold it. I decided to just leave well enough alone and didn't touch it haha. And yeah gotta love that "While I'm in there" mentality!

Honestly the best part about those cars is that you can get a relatively powerful and awesome powerband with very few/simple/choice mods.

Sure you can build it up for 500, 600, whatever, but then it gets very complicated, expensive, and not really worth it. If you want that just get an evo.

tune = already 30+wtq gain
dp+tune = 50+
slightly larger turbo+ handful of supporting mods = 350-400 (depending on year)

easy peasy.

like this 09 sti. like 5-6 mods. and it turned out glorious. was a pleasure to tune
