Default Fiesta spotted

Driving I-5 yesterday. Spotted what I thought was a euro Focus well behind me in traffic. Slowed a little and moved over. Only got one camera phone pic, unfortunately from the side at 80mph. They spotted me taking the pic, thus the thumbs up. This is one of 100 cars Ford brought into the US as some kind of loaner program to build buzz about the car. Check out www.fiestamovement.com

Front end looked a lot like the euro focus. Looked good, well proportioned and agressive. This is a really nice looking car for the class. Should compete well with the Civic, Fit, Scion, Corolla, etc. Now if they'd just promise to bring in the hot model euro Focus. Of course mitsubishi could send us the 400hp version of the evo the euro's get while I'm asking too.

It looks like a 1/2 scale mini-van.

Holy **** I saw one today too on my way home from work. Was green and had some writing on the side that kinda advertised it. I swear he was trying to race me lol.

The STI is a pretty hot 4 door hatch if that's what you want. Price to go with it of course.

When the Fiat Abarth 500 makes it over the pond, I'll get excited. I saw one in Italy, and it looks like a lot of fun.

They are going to start selling them in the US, but it's not clear if it will wear the Fiat badge or the Chrysler badge.

We gave Chrysler 25b to keep them from going bankrupt so we wouldn't lose the US jobs. They went bankrupt anyhow, and we gave them to Fiat. Fiat has zero need of the Chrysler models or the Chrysler car plants. The US jobs are gone, Chrysler is gone, and so is all the money. But we'll get some sporty little cars that like a lot of maintenance....

I really dont get why we never get the "Hot Hatch's" I could see them selling very well here. I am thrilled they are bringing over the Fiat 500 though.

Whoa.... I must see about 10 of these every day, and loads of Focus ST's etc.

But then we don't get big v8 yank muscle cars over here...

It's not a "fantastic" looking car, but for a US make it's by far the most competetive design going right now. That is exciting to me. It should compete very well with all the smaller cars that have kicked the US automakers teeth in the last 3 decades. That is a HUGE step in the right direction. It is unbelievably stupid that GM and Ford don't sell many of the most interesting of their cars here.

The idea that americans won't buy a nice small car is ridiculous as toyota, honda, lexus, acura, volvo, bmw, audi, vw, etc have proven. We simply haven't had nice US make small cars to buy before.

Here's a beauty pic front 3/4 view. Only seen from the side the car loses a lot. The front 3/4 and rear 3/4 views look good.

if you remember the SVT era Focus, THAT was a world car. the current model is not and therefore is inferior.
