Although they will never see the light of day again, I do have some bitchin photos of me with a 'fro back in junoir high. Any threat of "pics or it didn't happen" will be summarily ignored.

Along those lines, back in '81, THE shoes to have were the smooth white leather nikes with the red swoosh. My dad had a fit when mom spent a whopping $38 on a pair of SHOES for me.

I graduated high school in 83. White Snake, Rat, INXS, early U2, Kansas, Police, Scorpion, Journey, etc.. MTV was brand new and actually played videos! Aids was just being discovered and no one was scared yet. Parachute pants, painter pants, flock of seagulls hair.

As bad as fashion was in the 70's and early 80's the worst fashion take in history was the damn sagged pants BS that hit at the very end of the 80's. Flared jeans, wide leg jeans, fro's, rayon, painter pants, parachute pants - none of that comes close to the ridiculousness of pants below your ***. Figured that would die a quick death and it friggin hung on for 15 years!

I'm much less embarrased by my feathered hair and huge glasses than all the sagged pants people should be in the future.

I worked all summer for a pair of bo jackson, and air brushed paints!

I loved Ren and Stempy.

I used to love sat cartoons.

Saved by the bell.

The music was the BEST! Guns and Roses, metalica, Poison, warrent, Montley Crew, Damn Yankee's,Billy Idol, White Snake and the list goes on and on. I loved the 80's and 90's.

There was actually love ballades to get laid by. Chicks loved that.

What was that group that sung "I wanna Sex you up" They had like several songs to bang to.

And there were still big blocks around. My dads 78 ford had a 460.LOL Whoooo.... I used to outrun camero's in it. I blew it up to good rock and roll. I felt bad. But it would just white smoke the tires! LOL

I thought he was going to kill me. LOL

Remember those stockings girls used to wear. They called them something?? I looked like they were just airbrushed on. In middle school, I could never keep a hard down.

I got out of HS in 1988 so I was slam in the middle of the 80's growing up, still have my GT Performer on the wall in the garage, with its Z-rims and MX brakes and all.

I hate to admit it but I miss the music, hair bands FTMFW!

well I'll be,

you just posted exactly what I wanted to post WORD FOR WORD

but anyways, born in 85 former soviet union remember going to 1st-2nd grade learning russian, ukrainian and english at the same time. teachers were strict and beat the **** out of us with a ruler if we didnt know something. liked to hang out at old abandoned construction sites where a couple of my friends actually got severely injured. dad had an old *** mercedes diesel and a vw rabbit. both had insane rot but ran like champs. came to america in 93 and remember that the school teachers were amazed at my skills and put me in 4th grade right away. also skipped 6th and went straight to junior high...then I became stupid from all the tv/video games and finished school like an average student

In the summer of 1989 an affordable, well engineered, two-seater roadster sports car called the Mazda MX-5 also known as Miata, with its 1.6-liter twin-cam motor, & slick-shifting five-speed gearbox built by Mazda in Hiroshima, Japan was introduced.

I'm amazed how many members were into BMX,I used to have a subscription to BMX PLUS and waited every month for the latest issue to arrive.I had ACS Z-rims too,but I hated them(POS **** rims warped so easily).

The music in the 80's was and still the best, nothing even comes close to the power ballads of the hair bands of the 80's.

I graduated HS in 1984 and you were real popular if you had the jacket Michael Jackson wore in the thriller video or the black satin MTV jacket. And to get the MTV jacket you had to enter a contest. There was no such thing as "online shopping" The Michael Jackson Jacket you could get from a store called Merry-Go-Round where they had them locked up in chains so no one could steal them.
