Anyone else thinking "disaster"?

1.6 with a MP62 pushing 15psi, stock fuel system + an additional injector, no intercooler, no timing control but overall timing is retarded a few degrees.
Tom doesn't get why it doesn't make more power at 15 psi than it did at 11 psi. Blames it on the rings. Hmmm.
Where's the emoticon for BOOM?

In the immortal words of Scotty "She can't take much more of this, she's gonna blow".
When it happens the blame will be placed on the shitty JDM motor, bad gas, planetary alignment but not the scary tune. It is amazing how some people will be blinded by a vendor and eat **** all day long and insist that it tastes good. Not just FFS but FM and BEGI too. Loyal is fine, but come on.

I bet it will detonate if driven with back to back boosted runs. On the dyno they take a 4th gear pull, idle a few minutes, then take another 4th pull. Furthermore, I bet it would come back on 3 cylinders, smoking like a destroyer if any of us were able to run it around a track.
Did you catch the part about 150 dyno pulls.... to tune a fuel piggy?
Good luck Elphaba... start saving for your next motor.

Yeah that's a lot more than the pulls we took (If you count a ramping run as a pull) to tune the standalone from rough tune to mostly finished. Including tuning complete fuel and complete ignition, plus playing with MBC then playing with EBC.

You called it dude
Ricci is gonna do a compression and leakdown today so well see; but it doesnt look good. Lots of blow by. Should have just done a rebuild on the old motor. The real good news is that uncorking the intake with the RX-7 AFM made it a lot easyer to tune. Humm. Wonder what it would do with less boost sneeking past the rings?

you talking about me agian I think the heat is causing a non combustion in the cylinders making the exhaust rich becouse nothing is getting burned and the power low becouse agian nothing is getting burned much like our overrun fuel cut on MS but with to much pressure. but that is just a theory if he will take my advice and Try some WI to see if it helps any then he will have his answer. If it helps it is cooling, if not then it is the motor just not being as tight as it needs to be this breeds ill for the older 1.6's out there though it looks like a 180 whp garuntee is likely all they will get on a base kit still it is alot better than 140whp m45 anyday.
