Wow, friggin' Brazil. I always get the feeling that they have the talent, but their laid-back culture doesn't provide the work ethic. Not really the case today, but they give that impression. Holland played a great game, and looking back it's easy to see this isn't a spurt. I had a feeling they were good, but they have a history of choking.
I'm torn on the Ghana-Uruguay game. One of them knocked out our team, the other knocked out my wife's team. Ghana has the host continent behind them and amazing athleticism, while Uruguay has the skillset and history.
I'm just glad the games are turning out good. Usual poor sportsmanship and bad calls, but a good show overall unlike half the previous rounds. Germany-Argentina is still the game I'm waiting for though....and it looks like Holland just took Brazil's spot in the final against the Germans, although the Uruguay-Holland semifinal looks a lot different than an all South American semi on that side of the bracket.

Interesting game this afternoon. You're dead on on your commentary. I don't know who'll win it.
You're also right about the Germany vs Argentina game tomorrow. That one could turn out to be the most entertaining one in this World Cup.

Dunga as coach of Brazil = Fail. I also think the final will be Holland vs. Germany. I hope FINALLY Holland takes it; they been there and fail quite the few times.
Damon Uruguay didnt knock-out Mexico, Argentina did. Im going for Uruguay. They have shown a lot of ***** coming to the tournament as the wild card, and come a long way due to hard work.

They've deserved every bit of it though. Great team. Had Mexico beaten SA in the opener and won the group I'm sure Uruguay would have taken care of Argentina.

Well **** Uruguay. EDIT: Or just fist them, with *both* hands. /EDIT
I'm pulling so hard for Holland right now. What an ******* move, a couple of them, there at the end. It's pretty hard to replace a sure goal with a PK, for less than an 80% chance of making it. Yes, them's the rules, but Suarez made a very unsportsmanlike move. Sure he's out for the semi-final game, but still. He STOLE the win from Africa...excuse me, Ghana.
While lots of players take those chip shots occasionally, it was pretty crummy salt on top of the wound Suarez made. They should really be ashamed of themselves. You can argue they played better, or are the better team. But Gyan ran his *** off that whole game, 120 minutes of it, arrived at the end and took his shot. It should have been allowed to go in.

**** good for Uruguay. You have to do what you have to do, it sucks that Gyan failed to profit when he had to. There's a famous saying in football that say "el que no los hace, los ve hacer" means those that miss will see others profit.
About Abreu and that penalty; he does that **** 90% of the times he take a penalty kick.
