Default Worse than brake caliper covers

Saw this on my way in to work yesterday morning. Snapped a pic with my blackberry, then the girl driver gave me a big grin. I guess she thought I liked her car.

I like when people have mismatch wheels. I can only assume that they can't afford to replace tires so they go back to their stock wheels.

Don't see it as much now as 5-6 years ago. It seemed every Civic driver in my area decided painting the drums was the hot ticket at the same time. Laughed my *** off at them then. Now it just makes me sad.

im sure it last a long time, on the parts other than the friction surface itself. real ballers do this.

I just put RTV on my brake surfaces to catch the brake dust. Doesn't last that long though. Smells great.

Hey ******, I'm riding on stock rears on shitty Sumitomos because I haven't had time to plug my regulars. I'm actually considering going back to stock wheels with taller sidewall tires to battle the absolutely horrible roads around my area. Only 2 of the tires on the stock wheels have tread though, and I don't feel like spending $100 on tires when my other ones only need plugging.

I painted my rear drums on my Accord once just to cut back on rust. I also thought it would look cool back in my ricer days to paint my Prelude's rotor edges and hub red to match the calipers and car... ******* ugly! Never again will I treat anything in the suspension and brake department with paint other than calipers.

Makes sense to me...when I watch Le Mans, their brake rotors turn red. I think I'll paint my rotors red too.
