more effort than I'm willing to put forth. Im sure the frame is bent. I'd have to weld it, then paint it. that's not fun. easier to swap my diff, brakes, shock/springs, exhaust, and engine and call it a day.

Dang, Scott, sorry to hear/see that...but I'm glad you're alright physically.

Good luck getting it all straightened out, one way or another :-)

Glad to see you and your passenger are safe. I would go with your idea of buying, swapping parts, and calling the insurance adjuster. Go see a physician, you'll be sore in the next couple of days.

sucks, i did what you're planning when I wrecked my 92. I got 3800 from the insurance company and got to keep the car which I then sold for another 600 after switching out everything back to stock. It wasn't as clean as yours is/was either and I had no hardtop.

My car got rear ended, and looked a lot like yours. Rear bumper and finish panel were done. Both quarter panels were bent pretty bad, frame was bent, and the diff had to be replaced. Ended up being around 4-4.5k to get it fixed.

Tubs are cheap. There is no point in fixing bent Miatas at this time.

Use the opportunity to fix the little **** that pisses you off about the car, Scott. It will live again.

Scott, thats pretty much what I did to mine when I spun and hit a pole. Cept it hit in the middle of the car and onle damaged bumper/finish panel/trunk lid (no frame bendage thankfully). Just get a tub and swap everything over!

Scott -

Sorry to hear about the accident. (Much less seeing the result...)

As with the others, very pleased to hear you are intact and functional.

Good luck with the rebuild.

which would be perfect. After I would be finished you wouldn't know it was a new car other than the interior. body looks perfect.
body and paint look a little too perfect for a 92 - most likely a respray, you just have to figure out if it is because of accident of terrible NA paint. Last two miatae I have bought were repainted due to fading, but i would def. bring a magnet with you and be feeling for body filler. bad frames are bad for good...

I looked at a 93 LE today, listed at 3K. I wouldn't offer more than $900. It was a POS.
