Default almost rear ended today

It's one of those things that you could not have prevented. I'm behind a car at a red light in the right lane. The van behind me is also stopped about half a car length...as well as traffic behind it. The 18-wheeler in the left lane crawls forward several feet and the retard in the van behind me assumed the light was green and started getting real big in my rearview mirror.

I didn't even have a chance to put it in gear before he pulled his head out of his *** and slammed on his brakes. I normally have the car in gear if I don't have anybody stopped behind me yet, but this was different.

If I was on my bike I would've whooped his ***. If I were in the truck I probably would've chuckled.

He has a '99 sport, every autox'r around can appreciate the near loss of another sport considering how few of them there are around.

You ******* need to come to Atlanta, where "almost" means the damage is under $1000 and that the person who hit you had about a 90% likelyhood of being a illegal spanish speaking idiot with no license and insurance.

57 posts does not un-NOOB you. This thread sucks here but I'm sure if you posted it at cr.net you would be proclaimed a hero for almost beating somebody up who didn't hit you and the only thing that stopped you anyways was that you weren't on your bike.

And Bryan is right...

I love the BS forum..it causes exciting conflicts that make me giggle like a school girl. Like this part "If I was on my bike I would've whooped his ***. If I were in the truck I probably would've chuckled." When in reality it's more like "if I was on my bike and the van hit me, I'd wish I could beat that guys ***, but since I'm laying in the street under my bike, it's kinda hard." But yeah, I don't understand people and driving. It's ******* traffic...wait till the light turns green, then push on the gas. Everybody is in such a hurry to go NOWHERE. And the cliff notes were right: "nobody gives a **** about what almost happened." It's like going to the track and saying "I almost ran a 12.9 quarter mile, but my 60' sucked so I ran 13.6." Almost doesn't, and never will EVER matter.

I've had similar things happen...

I've even had to just launch from the light when some lame behind me was screeching to a stop right where my rear end used to be!

Glad you didn't get creamed!
