As much as I loved the Miata, I needed more room. :(

So the obvious choice was something around the same weight / power with more space.

well, I completely hate the color choice / wheel choice / bumper choice / plate choice, which is why I'm selling the wheels and bumper for stock replacements. The paint is new, so I'm just gonna leave it like that.

I agree it's ricey at the moment, but I got an incredible deal on it.

And who said I was gonna drift? It's the closest I'm getting to a Miata with 5 seats and acceptable gas mileage.

For a group of people who drive a "gay" car, you sure do like to stereotype.

i used to have one.

its a 20+ year old car and always will be, no matter how much money you dump on that thing.

im more happier with the miata's capabilities, but i wouldnt mind owning one again in the future.

....besides that, if you need parts, i sill have a bunch of corolla **** lying around.

LOL, we can afford too... We already know we drive a gay car. It's a fact, the Miata is possibly the gayest car on the planet. So when we see a car that is more gay we pouch on it like a cat on a mouse.

As far as the college budget goes? Who's idea was it to get married and have kids while you are in college (I assume that this is why you need more seats!) This would have not been a problem otherwise.

Seriously though, you can get a used Forester for like 3-4 grand on Ebay. Used WRX's are as low as 9-10k

He could've bought something worse. At least he can still have some fun while driving. I'd buy something like that to drive in the city while going to school (parking a Miata on the street in Milwaukee just seems like a bad idea, but a riced out Toyota? Eh, pretty common stuff here).

similarities include low weight, 1.6l 4-banger, RWD.

dissimilar: low-tech suspension, extra room

those are cool cars, i know a guy that had a full TRD race suspension on it and it handled insane. and another friend had one for a little while and when he got it, we spent the rest of the day drifting around a tree in his backyard because it didnt even run well enough to do it in the street, lol
