It's my wife's Carbon-15 top loader. It was an important stepping stone to getting our rights back. I've heard of pump action AKs before that but I've never seen one.

So my Sub2k is home, they polished up the feedramp and sent it back to me.
I'll snap pictures tonight for anyone interested.

Pusha has first trade dibs though if he picked up the 9mm versions...

Yup. I wish ammo wasn't so expensive.

I bought a new Leupold VX-6 2-12x42 duplex Got it for $766 shipped after SWFA.com did a price match. I felt I needed to snag one because a few of the reviews suggest the optics are fantastic. I feel that a price increase won't be too far in the distant future. Comes with a free Leupold boresighter that I can resell to one of you, and make my overall cost even less. It also comes with two free CDS turrets.

Military peeps:
My dad will not let me keep "assault weapons" at his house when I'm away, so do y'all have any long term weapons storage options? I've heard military camps/bases will let you check weapons into some sort of storage but I don't know if thats true or not. I imagine there are limits to how many guns and what types of guns they will let you store though.
The armory on base will take your gun and put it in the POW locker. Privatly Owned Guns locker. There is no time limit on how long they can stay there. They will tag it and keep a list of who has what by serial numbers and gun type. There is a whole folder and specific OI's for holding peoples firearms. If you live in the dorms that's where your guns go or just don't want it in your house for various reasons.

Show up to base with an empty firearm, tell the gate guard you have a gun/guns to turn into the armory, they will notify base police and the armory, you go DIRECTLY to the armory (NO stop for gas, NO stop for snack, NO stops) and show them clear and safe and turn them in. They give you a sheet with your info and your done. Some places will hold the ammo for you as well. When you want your gun out just go sign it out. Most armories are manned 24/7, part of the OH my god ---- just hit the fan planning.

Both my wife and I were armorers in the AF so if there are any questions ask. Can't vouch for the other branches but they should be pretty close. I think our OI's match theirs.

Edit: We can't remember a limit on number of guns. But no one ever came with a whole freaking arsenal. Most guys with that many guns live off base. While in basic store the gun at a friends

No worries. Just hit me up if you have any other questions. Also I know a lot of people that just keep them at a friends off base or with their supervisor at theirs. When I was stationed in Vegas I had few friends guns at my apartment. It's more common than you probably think.

I was thinking if somebody lived near a base/camp they could make a nice business for themselves by securely keeping peoples guns & valuable items while on deployment. I would happily pay a monthly fee to know my guns and stuff is insured and secure from theft, fire, flood ect.

I've made several 3 minute transactions at gun shows.

Ok gays, I need a budget AR15 for hog plinking. Has anyone order the complete Del-ton kit minus the lower? I'm finding the del-ton kit for 449 at classic arms and Sarco has Their branded one for 399, ideas?
