Yea, I'd be all over one if they were less expensive. I just can't see why the prices aren't down. I'd suggest that you and I start manufacturing them but one of the big guys would swoop in and run us out of business. I think the market is definitely ready for one.

9mm cheaper than 22lr (4 or 5 cents each)? You'll have to teach me that trick!

For deep carry I have a Ruger LC9. There is a new striker fired version that is pretty great IMO.

I used to have a P95DC Ruger that was quite well made and a joy to shoot. A really nice 9mm.

Yeah, nice pistol. I had the same in 45 ACP. Traded it for a 38SP revolver (gave it to my mother) and some cash.

I EDC (concealed) a G19 w/Trijicon's and standard Remington 115gr JHP's. I've 6'4"/240lbs and have no problem carrying a gun that big all day IWB. I haven't found an OWB holster that I really like yet, but always on the lookout.

I am not a Glock fanboy, but I have yet to find a better gun to carry. If you're able to comfortably carry a gun that big, it's the one. I don't have any love for compact pistols with extended mags for carry, so the Ruger and S&W are out. I also don't like the XD's for the same reason as you.

The CZ P-07 is my second favorite. I actually like the ergo's better than the G19, but did not want an exposed hammer for my EDC gun.

The Sig P250 is very close to the Glock, but the aftermarket just isn't there.

The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact could be in the running, except it's butt-ugly, the aftermarket will never touch it, and I simply could not bring my self to "strap on the Storm" every morning.

The other companies that make a G19 sized 15'ish round guns are Canik, Tisas, EAA, and a few other second-tier companies. I really wish FN would come out with a 15rd compact.

If you are after capacity, then the LC9 definitely isn't for you (I don't use the extended mags, just the little pinky-ledge plate). It is the most comfortable pistol I've ever carried, and doesn't require too much work to dress around.
It isn't my primary, but I do carry it on days when I just want to run around in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and not give a second thought to whether I'm printing or not.
Until recently, my primary was a gen1 Walther PPQ, but I have since switched to a bob-tailed 1911, because, God help me, there's just something about them that keeps bringing me back.

My EDC is a Ruger SR9c. It's got somewhere north of 4000rds through it and hasn't had a non-ammo induced malfunction. Still going strong.

Double stack 10+1 or 17+1. I've also got a Ghost Rocket trigger bar in it which makes the already great factory trigger that much better.

I looked into the P250 when I was in the market for a new carry pistol. Couldn't stand it. That DAO trigger is terrible.

Carry loads were Speer Gold Dot 124+P. Just switched to Federal HST 124 standard pressure

My current EDC is a S&W J frame 327 magnum. Problem is, it has a ported barrel & it puts a lot of powder into my face so I don't like to shoot it w/o glasses. I plan on sending it back to the mothership to have a non-ported barrel installed but in the mean time I'm really leaning towards a G19 for EDC. In the past I've used a M&P9C and also a G30 in that role so I don't think the size is a problem. Something like the XDs 9 single stack or a Kahr CM9 are tempting for the size, but not sure it's worth it.

Kahr CM9/PM9 is a fantastic carry gun.

Hell, I would. Who in their right mind would mess with a guy carrying a purple gun?

My buddy just got a CW40 so I think I'll go try it on for size. Out of the box he says it's having some feeding issues, hopefully it just needs to be broken in.

I have a Cabelas near me and I try and keep an eye out in their "gun library" section. Sometimes they have some fantastic deals. I picked up a really nice Ruger Speed-Six for $250, Kahr PM9 for $400, Smith and Wesson M&P .40 for $350... as well as a couple others. The Kahr is the only one I still own, though I would still own the Speed-Six if a friend didn't want it badly and if the Smith 686 didn't become available for sale for a sweet price.

For my small guns I always wrap them in Brooks Tactical "A-Grip." It's basically a suede like material that comes pre-cut to fit around the grips. It grips well when dry, and the more you sweat the better you can hold onto it. Also, unlike grip tape it's not rough enough to be uncomfortable against your skin. I highly recommend the stuff.

Cabela's gun library is usually pretty overpriced but you really have to keep an eye on it, I found one of my grail guns there. It's a minty Winchester M70 Featherweight in 6.5x55, circa mid-80s. It was a limited run that was mostly shipped to Europe. Never thought I'd see one, and there it was- for a ripping price no less! It's put a couple deer in my freezer.

That's pretty common with Kahrs. They run pretty tight when new. I don't know if this is still the case, but I know Kahr's CS used to recommend running 500-600 rounds before trying to make a warranty claim.

I've been pretty fortunate but then I bought all my Kahrs used. The only one that didn't run 100% was a Kahr K9 that really didn't like Federal HST's (but then, I've had other good pistols that didn't like HST's either).

I EDC a mouse gun (Keltec P32 with Crimson Trace). While the lack of firepower has never bothered me it sure bothers the hell out of everyone else for some reason. Other than when I am at work I am never without my P32. I pocket carry and literally forget I have the 9.4oz fully loaded pistol when I am not thinking about it. Comfort is why I carry it and not the DE 50.
