Yet Another Gun Thread

Dude, seriously with the tongues? Man, you gotta put that **** back in their mouths before posing for photos. I've shot plenty of deer, and a bit of etiquette photos is to go easy on the blood, and stick the tongue back in the mouth.
I'm breaking your ***** mostly, but ****.

Some good friends of the family had a ranch down south of us where they grew bell peppers. To keep the ground squirrels out of the peppers they would plant a 6-10' wide swath of green onions around the outside edge of the field, plus let me hang out with the .22 and the .223 and commit squirrel genocide. California ground squirrels are tiny little bastards and I was consistently making 300+/- yard shots in light wind with a bolt action .223, factory ammo and an ancient Redfield 3x9x40 deer scope. I really miss having access to private property and spare time
The hogs eventually discovered the fields and after enough damage, they finally got Cal Fish & Game to issue them a depredation permit to take care of the little buggers. Most pigs out here are nasty, all they eat are various oak acorns (loaded with tannins) and fungus so the meat is bitter and just not worth it. You take a pig that's eaten nothing but bell peppers and green onions until it gets to be about 100-150lbs and you have some seriously good eating.

mgeoffriau and elesjuan, my bad on the which came first, I assumed wrong. LCP still sucks to shoot, Kel-Tec is probably as bad or worse. I owned a PF9 also, hated how that shot as well, sold it, bought Glock, couldn't be happier. YMMV
Edit: For a smaller gun, I would go with a Khar, shot one of those and liked it.

Armalite of course, .308
5 20rd mags
Some tacti-cool case
rifle length barrel cut to 16.5" and threaded 5/8x24? (standard 308 threads for suppressors and brakes) with loud-*** ASI maxi Muzzle Brake
standard OD Green stock and handguards - nothing special
1.5-6x Burris XTR high turrets with 7.62 Ballistic reticle (very sweet for competition)
$2k - don't really have to sell it, so why I'm not getting low-balled...

Is it worth my time to backtrack through this thread and see what y'all talked about in my absence?

New Orleans gunshow was a complete ******* bust today. I'll never again go to one looking for a new gun. Every handgun in the place was at least 20% over everyday Buds or CTD prices. I saw an IO Hellcat with a $299 tag on it... ******* ludicrous.
Have finally decided that my EDC carry piece with be a KelTec PF9. The only .380 I have ever liked is the S&W Bodyguard .380, but they're $380-$400 if you can find them and it was really too small for my hand. I'm a big guy and figure "compact" is relative... so the smaller 9mm's were all looked at. I would love SA/DA, but the Bersa's and SR9C were too big.
Cheaper Than Dirt has the PF9 I want for $216+$11. Along with my $20FFL fee makes $247. I'll grab one here when I get all my travel money from the Navy for my recent move.
