Eh, not really. There was a little discussion here and there but nothing too great. Samnavy might have posted something interesting though.

You did miss out on my Progressive purchase. Oh and my .223 toy is working perfectly despite not being Colt

Were you just looking for a hobby or are you shooting enough to justify the costs of a reloading setup?

Planning on shooting enough to have it pay for itself in about a year. And for what I paid for he complete setup... that isn't really as much shooting as people usually have to go through.

Word. I may start with 10mm.

Plans changed and I'm not going to the range today. So sad.

  • Ruger .22 target pistol

What will I order when I get home?

BTW, we also shot an FNH Five-Seven which is a really trick, fun pistol.

It's lighter than the Glock 19, aparently an incredibly high muzzle velocity, and very little recoil, almost like a hot-.22 recoil. My buddy calls it "The Cartel Gun" because the's are supposedly hot **** for armor piercing.

I shot all of these quite a bit, 3 of us went through 600 rounds, lol. Then I went to Cabella's and I think I'm going with a 9mm S&W M&P. I like the medium size grip on that gun because of the tapered shape around the pinkie. The Glock 22 was fun and all, but did some weird **** to my pinkie and after a few clips I have a blood blister in the middle of my pinkie...weird.

Any final thoughts on the M&P before I order?

I like my M&P 9 Pro. I wish I went with 5" pro or 9L model though. I want the extra length for better sight line.... since I want to try some competitive stuff. I'm probably going to sell the 9Pro (night sights, 4.5lb trigger and 4.25" length) and get a 9L (5" length).

Mine has gone through every cheap and up brand of ammo I've tossed into it, as any modern plastic gun should.

Is the .75" longer barrel worth the $80 price difference? I'm not carrying this pistol, just shooting with it. It seems like no one has the two tone steel either.

Edit: Friends say the 5" M&P is discontinued.

Can't say from experience, but I do want the 5" now.

I used to have concerns about the M&P 9s but the couple my buddy just picked up seem to be void of the issues I encountered with an early example.

It really comes down to personal preference, I prefer Glocks because I get a substantial discount... My latest Glock 20 was only $502. That's easily $50 less than anywhere on the Internet before factoring in shipping, FFL transfer fees, etc.

Any thoughts on the CZ-85? This pistol feels better in my hand than anything else, by far. It also looks ******* BAUCE, I'm afraid to look at it with the naked eye it's so bauce.

I've always felt that CZ pistols were underrated. Again, Trey, it comes down to what you feel comfortable with.

OK, this thing looks badass:

But for some reason you can't get a silver pistol from CZ with a decocker which irritates me. What do you gays think about adjustable sights on a gun I don't plan to carry? When I decide to carry, I'll get a compact.

Hooray, I found with just a minimal investment... I can switch my sub2000 from .40 to 9 on my own. Barrel and bolt head is all that is needed.

Now do i sell g23... or get a 9mm barrel for it.
