New Year's Weight Reduction Challenge?
I've discussed this on my local car club forum and had mixed results, curious if the larger crowd here might be down.
I got into running middle of last year, but between buying a house, a second miata, and a dog (all things that keep you quite busy) I fell off the horse and am terribly out of shape..
We all know new year is the time to make empty promises about getting back in to shape, but accountabilabuddies can help quite a bit.
Anyone down for a small "weight reduction" challenge? After all, it will make you a faster driver, too!
It will have to be on the honor system, and everyone can weigh in and we'll use a google doc. Track weekly weigh ins and at the end of two months or so the person with highest %loss gets...something? Either we can all chip in $5 of sponsor giftcards or maybe just bragging rights, a faster 1/4 mile, and a healthier lifestyle will be enough.
Thoughts?
(Disclaimer: Yes, I know there's more to being healthy than low weight, yes I know sometimes getting healthy actually means gaining weight from muscle, yes I know this is kinda dumb, and no I don't really care, I'm just curious if anyone else is interested.)
