Youtube sucks and has sucked for a while. Not only do they compress the **** out of videos, they are constantly changing the layout to make it harder to navigate! On top of that there are ads everywhere. If they didnt have such a huge collection of videos I would never go to their site. Vimeo FTW.

they probably dropped the volume to better utilize the limited dynamic range of the audio track.

I thought this thread was going to be about the scum that lurks in the comments of all youtube videos.

I'm not too big a fan of the new layout either, but haven't notice any crazy volume issues.
