Default Non start condition!

Hello, everyone!
I have a '91 turbo miata with the FM Link ECU.
One day I got in it to go to work and it wouldn't start. When you turn the switch on, the radiator fans come on and the lights in the Link hand controller come on, but the display in the controller never comes on and, of course, the car will not start.
I have traced out and tested all of the grounds going to the ECU, tested all of the power going to the ECU and replaced the coolant temp sensor. All is good but the ECU still doesn't boot up.
I have tested and changed out everything I can think of, to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?
I even pulled the ECU card and the controller card and examined them for burned traces and/or components. Everything looks good.

Today I pulled the ECU out and hooked it up in the white Miata and it booted up when I turned on the key. So, at least now I know it isn't the ECU or the controller cable... or the controller.
I guess that means there is a sensor bad somewhere. I will try putting the white car's ECU in and see what it does next warm day I have.

Dear Miablo,
Have you ever had a car problem and couldn't figure out what the cause/fix was, you could only describe the symptoms? You did a little bit of searching and research using your symptoms and FINALLY you found the thread where someone had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM that you had?

You scroll through the 20 or so posts where people recommend suggestions which don't seem to work for the OP, and then finally you get to the end of the thread and find NOTHING.

Or worse, the OP responds to the thread with simply: "Problem Solved!!!"

Not only is the thread 2 or 3 years old, but the poster isn't an active member of the site, so you can't message him. You simply sit there, staring at your computer screen, blood boiling, and you scream at the top of your lungs:

WHY YOU NO TELL US ANSWER!?

Help out a future Miablo: Please post the solution to your problem.

You are absolutely right, fooger! My apologies.
As I was working my way through sensors, someone suggested (on miata.net) I check the CAS. So, I looked up the pin-out for the CAS cable, then proceeded outside to check said voltages. I discovered there was no +12v on the plug, so I came online and consulted a wiring diagram for the car in order to trace out the source and possible "break" points along the line.
I discovered that the +12v that goes to the CAS harness also goes to the ECU. So, I traced it through the ignition switch (which was good), through the main fuse block (also good) to the main really... which was bad. I replaced it with the relay from my other Miata and, VOILA! The little red devil is alive once more!
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.
