We took our 99 Miata out for it's first PDX 3.2 mile road course today. Purhump is 75 miles west from Las Vegas and guess what? We forgot the keys to the race car! Luckily my neighbor Fred met me halfway with the keys. I made it back with 30 minutes to spare. The car ran great in the almost 100 degree heat, the temp gave was at the 12 o'clock position using only one fan. Turbo worked great even though Sue never over pushed it as our intentions was just to get used to the new car. Because of a faulty rear caliper we ruined a new set of Hawk pads and rotor but the local parts store fixed us up in no time. We're happy with the car and plan on autoxing it next weekend. Can't give you guys any times as we didn't rent a transponder. I also ran over Sue's purse with our truck pulling out of the race site! Overall I'd say it was a great day at the races!
