Anybody going? I know it's Petit LeMans, but some of us can't fork over an entire day for pleasure.

I'll either be either there or I'll be in the mountains... Depends if my friend Chris gets his car running in time or not.

Toulene or Xylene is your friend. I'll post back tomorrow when I'm for sure.

Toluene works great. I've done it. But it's tough to find. I get it in 5 gal drums at Sherwin Williams.
Xylene isn't as effective but is easier to find at Home Depot, WalMart, etc.

A station (shell?) I passed today on Buford Hwy S of Clarmont has premium for the low low price of $5/gal.

If you're desperate, Ace has both for just under $20/gal What's the 5 gal. drum cost? I've got a Sherwin Williams right up the street. BenK you could just tie the wg open and drive NA on the lowlowgrade. That's got to be the first station I've heard of in town with anything other than 87.

Perhaps it went WAY up recently. HD and WM had xylene for just over half that when I was looking for toluene. I have paid between $8-10/gal in the 5 gal drum at Sherwin Williams for toluene. Just be advised they'll think you're meth dealer when you ask for it.

My car detonates like a bitch just off idle on 87 even with the lightest throttle application.

I've got enough for the round trip I think, then hopefully this gas mess will be sorted by the time I get back from China.

I got premium in Lawrenceville. If local, check out the Chevron at the corner of Old Norcross and Herrington. It's between Gwinnett Place Mall and Discover Mills Mall. 4.29/gal 93 no lines.

I MADE POSITIVE MANIFOLD PRESSURE!!! I'm off to have a celebratory adult beverage(s)...

I'll be there, camera in hand. Based on prior event photos, this looks like it has a good showing from the lower upper class.

Here are pictures from today. Good turnout.
The videos that are first in line are of a 1100+ crank horsepower Mustang. He said that he was running 18psi but had room to go for more. I'd believe it!

I saw your car, never saw you though. After the pack had thinned out, we went up the road to get lunch. You've got my # right?

It was sort of weird- this guy I met there followed me around and told me his life story. He was a nice guy, but none of it had much to do about cars... unless he was telling me how good his camaro was. Anyway, it monopolized a lot of my time, didn't take many photos after that. I had your number from Koto's tech day at your house... but now it's gone.

BenK- you can do both, you have the power. I came back and finished up my built-in cabinet. Oh- and you could filled up on premium during the trip - only took me two stations to find it. But it's OK to say your wife made you stay home- you're still newly weds... we understand.

As similar as everybody seemed at that meet (all car guys). The spread is quite big- and somewhat less obvious. Yes- from old to new cars, american to imports, but there's also the spread from DIY guys to guys who write the check and are just proud to own their cars (and polish them). I can definitely understand paying for some stuff, but not everything. Gotta get dirty on my projects.

No, she wasn't the one wanting the fence fixed. It's been down for a month, and if you saw my neighbor's yard, you'd understand
