When I saw them come in I was like uhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'd also like to thank Bimmerline for using pro drivers to come out nowhere and knock us down a podium, and physically as you take corners like you would in mario kart, banking off others.

Yep, very happy for the podium finish; they got robbed last year.
Were were in the top 10 for the majority of the race (maybe 2 hours outside of that), but those bimmers are just too fast on the straights for a little miata to compete with. SRI and Bimmerline slowly climbed the ranks at the end. We sat in 3rd for a while, so that was pretty cool.
Oh yeah, I took a bunch of pictures of an integra on track thinking it was Simon Sez's car; I got the wrong one. I thought it was the blue 4-dr the entire race.
I did get one neat shot of it on the track at night; I'll post it later.

I had a long slow drive home. Almost ran out of gas somewhere in the middle of 29 in NC. The race was a good time. It was good to see members again and I hope you all got stickers. I am still completely exhausted today and the plan is to do as minimal as possible at work.

We ran into too many problems, most of all was a vision problem in the misty conditions. We were so far down the order and our drivers didn't feel safe, we parked out until in the morning and went out for testing and crew exercises.

This thread needs race pics...and glamour head shots! Congratulations to NAMCO!
Looking forward to this for next year, team decided not to go this year as we had too many local midwest races close by in timing. Next year we will scrap them and go for broke out at VIR...and hopefully not break.

As for SRI #2 pitting in... Initially we thought it was a drive-through to reduce penalty laps for the potential gap... But then we saw them hanging out at the end of the pit, so maybe they got black flagged? We saw the lead for SRI was hauling *** to see why his car was being held up. One of the guys from Team NAMCO said they put in 2 gallons of gas in with 10-15 minutes to go in the race; 5 minute minimum in the pits. Chump car is just like F1: it all comes down to the time in the pits. :v
Thanks to Brain for taking pics on the podium. I was going to have a local friend do it, but he's kind of a luddite and was very apprehensive to try to take the podium pictures. I take it that your Nikon and Tamrons aren't weather sealed? (Camerachat: I think the X-T1 is sealed and Fuji has a handful of sealed glass coming out soon)
I was the ******* who responded "Nah" to the "WHO WANTS TO RACE FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS!?" from John.

All your problems would have been solved if you removed the windshield RX-8 style! We had some interesting solutions to maintain visibility.

we were 28 seconds behind Ronald at the end. We were hoping to stay ahead after our last pit, but didn't time it right ourselves; not that we had much choice.
