Default Houston Miata Club Shiner brewery tour july 12

As a reminder, please make it known in this thread if you plan to join us for the Shiner run. The brewery requires at least twenty people to attend before they'll open on a Saturday for tours.

Tentative schedule:

July 12th
07:15 - leave gathering spot. Location TBD.

08:55 - arrive Shiner

09:00 - Spoetzl Brewery tour. I've been told this will take about two hours.

11:00 - lunch. Location TBD.

12:30 - "scenic" "fun" drive for those that wish. Not like Kerrville but satisfying. Should take about two hours.

15:00 - start heading back to Houston. Route will most likely involve boring stretches of Hwy 90 with a couple of detours for those determined to drive. Should hit Houston city limits about 17:00.

just let me know. I actually copied and pasted that. We probably have enough people now as several miatas have committed, the Z club, and rx7 club's have been notified. I'm pretty sure will hit the target minimum.

I'll post more details when I get them from the Miata club.

the IHOP at fry and I10 has a good size parking lot and is open early, we can start there.

We will be taking I10 out but I dont know the exact route that was planned.

so that means be there earlt if you want to eat we have to be on the road by 7am
Please let me know if you are going. As I am monitoring two other boards for the miata club. (this one and a rx7 board)

IF you go please be on you best behavior as this represents the local miata club. The drive home is at your own discretion.

The deadline is............ The night before I guess. lol. I'm not in charge just trying to round up some others.

Where can you really drive a Miata in the Houston area? Memorial Drive and Allen Parkway have some nice curves. Driving the cloverleaves at Waugh are pretty fun.
