i have a guy but you're too far. I haven't done it yet but he says it's easy, use the knee kicker tool and start in the back corner of the room

Cat hair and pubes. Not what I was hoping to see while I ate my muffin.

I'm acutally surprised about how much hair my Dyson can lift up. At least 1000x more dirt/hair than my Eureka I had prior.

I just don't like hardwood: I don't like rugs, I don't like putting felt under all my furniture, I don't like walking in slippers cause the floor feels shitty, I don't like laying on hard surfaces if I ever choose to lay on the ground, and I don't like the uncomfortable/formal/non-cosy feeling of hardwood.

the roomba takes care of the shitty feel part. no gritty **** on there.

yeah the dyson is a miracle worker on cat hair. until I used the mini turbine head on the stairs and so much cat hair clogged the suck hole that the brush was overspeeding itself.

It's not what you'd call a "hookup" but the shop that did our upstairs last year was very good and reasonably priced. It was the Carpet Yard on Merrilee Dr in Fairfax, which is right next to the Home Despot.

Tip: Continuous filament carpet is worth a few extra bucks. It pretty much eliminates the shedding of fibers and the clogging of vacuums that you typically get with new carpet.

That Dyson guy seems like a douche in the TV commercials, but damn if he doesn't build a great vacuum. We got the heavy-duty pet version and it handles all that our german shepherd is capable of shedding (quite a lot).

I'm just looking to get it done for under 2K (about 750 sq ft of it). We are going to try to get the condo on the market next spring and I'm starting to take care of the last few projects we need to tackle.

a few townhomes in the tyson area would be cool, but that area kinda stinks. I'm hoping we can find something north of us past 29 off great falls or something like that, towards mclean. or possibly in the Vienna area.
